The spokesperson for the National Unity Government of Myanmar is accusing the military in northwest Myanmar of carrying out massacres of civilians and destroying their homes. The destruction in the hilltop town of Thantlang, in Chin State, northwestern Myanmar, caused by artillery shells and fires set by Myanmar’s military, appears part of a concerted policy of scorched earth.
