The United States and Russia have sparred over the Ukraine crisis at the UN Security Council, with Washington warning of a “horrific” war should Moscow decide to invade its neighbour and Russian diplomats playing down the threat of military conflict. US and NATO deliver responses to Russian demands over Ukraine

The United States and NATO have delivered separate written responses to Russia’s security demands, as efforts to reach a diplomatic solution to the crisis over Ukraine continue. Ukrainians join reserve army amid tensions with Russia

US military aid arrives in Ukraine amid Russia border tensions

The first shipment of the United States’ $200m security support package for Ukraine has arrived in Kyiv, the US embassy said. The delivery followed US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to Kyiv this week amid concerns from Ukraine and its Western allies over tens of thousands of Russian troops amassed at the border with Ukraine. Russia denies planning a new military offensive. Ukraine’s defence minister thanked the US for the aid. Erdogan urges end to Ukraine tension, offers Turkey’s support

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has called for the “worrying” developments in eastern Ukraine’s Donbas region to come to an end after meeting his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiyy in Istanbul on Sunday, adding Turkey was ready to provide any necessary support. Fighting in eastern Ukraine between government forces and Russian-backed separatists in Donbas has escalated. President Erdoğan says he hopes the dispute can be solved through dialogue.
