Indonesia volcanic eruption: Thousands evacuated from island of Flores

In Indonesia, more than 6,300 people have been evacuated from their homes on the island of Flores. It’s due to increased activity from a volcano, which has erupted at least 200 times since Sunday. India declares Himachal Pradesh state as ‘natural calamity affected area’

Nearly 80 people have been killed after flashfloods triggered landslides in India’s Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh. Flash floods hit western Rwanda, killing more than 100

The death toll in the flooding in western Rwanda has gone up to 127, according to the office of President Paul Kagame, as a rescue operation is under way to reach stranded people amid torrential rains. “Rescue interventions are ongoing in the most affected districts … in order to secure endangered citizens,” Kagame’s office said in a statement on Wednesday. Cyclone Freddy: 500,000 people at risk in Mozambique

Tropical Cyclone Freddy has unleashed powerful winds, heavy rain and floods in Mozambique – for the second time. At least 28 people have been killed and tens of thousands of homes are damaged.
