Heavy rains and floods continue to batter several parts of Sudan, as sixteen months of fighting limits the government’s ability to respond. At least 177 people have lost their lives since the start of the rainy season in June and more than 100,000 have been displaced. Many in affected areas have lost all their properties.

That soil and now heavy rains looks great for growing sweet potatoes. Mankind has shown a great ability to adapt when faced with changing climate conditions in the past. If mankind would focus more on this needed adaptation, rather than focusing on weapons and arms to kill one another. I have no doubt that we will grow and adapt to the climate change we are facing now.
