Wagner chief under investigation despite deal: Russian media

Russian state news is reporting that the head of the Wagner mercenary group is under investigation. That is despite a recent deal granting him immunity after his forces took over military sites in southern Russia. The Kremlin had said Prigozhin agreed to go into exile in Belarus. Russian defence minister visits troops after Wagner mutiny

Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu has visited Russian troops in Ukraine, the RIA Novosti news agency reports, his first public appearance since the weekend mutiny by the Wagner Group. The leader of the Wagner Group – whose mercenaries have fought side by side with the Russian military – led a rebellion on Saturday. Wagner’s chief has blamed Sergei Shoigu for his fighters’ deaths. He also accused him of incompetence and corruption. One killed, two injured in Russian missile attack on Kyiv

One person has been killed and two were wounded in Kyiv as Russia launched more than a dozen missiles, says the capital’s mayor. 15 cruise missiles have reportedly been shot down by Ukrainian air defences. Ukraine war: Death toll from attack in Dnipro rises

The death toll from a Russian missile attack that destroyed an apartment building in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro has risen to 23, regional council head Mykola Lukashuk says, while 73 people were injured. Russia carried out three air raids, 57 missile attacks and 69 attacks from heavy weapon rocket salvo systems on Saturday, Ukraine’s top military command says. More than 120 missiles fired at Ukraine: Presidential adviser

A new wave of Russian strikes on Ukraine has left at least three people injured in the capital Kyiv, the city’s mayor has said. Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak says more than 120 missiles had been fired at Ukraine. “We’re waiting for further proposals from ‘peacekeepers’ about (a) ‘peaceful settlement,’” he wrote on Twitter, referring to Russia’s calls for a solution to the war Moscow started with an invasion on February 24. “For the moment, there are three wounded in Kyiv, including a 14-year-old girl. Electricity supplies in Kyiv at ‘critical’ level, says governor

Electricity supplies in the Kyiv region are at a “critical” level, with less than half the capital’s power needs being supplied after more focused Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure, regional officials said.
