Taliban claims complete control of Afghanistan’s Panjshir

The Taliban has taken complete control of Panjshir province, the last area in Afghanistan held by resistance forces, says the group’s spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid. Battle intensifies in Panjshir as Taliban, resistance claim gains

The battle for control of Afghanistan’s Panjshir Valley is showing no sign of easing, with Taliban and resistance fighters both claiming to have the upper hand. Kabul airport reopens to receive aid: Qatari envoy

The first civilian flight has left Kabul’s airport since the Taliban took over Afghanistan. The airport has not been operational since US troops finally withdrew last week.
