Ukraine says it is making gains in the offensive against Russian forces to recapture Bakhmut. The city in eastern Ukraine has been at the heart of fierce fighting for months. Ukraine’s armed forces released a video showing what it said were soldiers storming Russian positions. Ukrainian forces have launched several attacks on Russian positions – since Saturday’s mutiny. Some of the Russian forces had to leave their positions because of the attempted rebellion by Wagner group – but are starting to return to the front lines. The Ukrainian army is pushing south and east in what appears to be an attempt to take advantage of the instability in Russia.
