More winners are emerging from the US-China trade war.
To avoid the effects of the trade war, Chinese factories are relocating elsewhere in Asia.
Bangladesh’s large workforce and low wages give it a competitive edge in this labour-intensive industry.
Bangladesh is seeing a boom as businesses shift production but workers say they are struggling to survive on the government-set minimum wage.

Very poor salary. It’s very hard for them to run whole family. Women are Very much industrious here.
@Leodark Sam
How is Bangladesh any different from any other greedy area on the planet?
Usually find out it’s a greedy racist US owner, or a pompous racist UK share holder who has control over most foreign companies.
Just sayn
In garments industry foreign buyers are actually making money. Paying $4 or 5 for a shirt & selling over $100! Owners are suffering to run the industry & workers are getting very less. Buyers wants everything; quality, quantity, compliance, timely shipment but never agree to increase a single cents! Shame!
Bangladesh ki Taraqi
Only after Genral Irshad KI jail main chakki

Other wise our army political Genrals will make pakistan a complete KANGLADESH
this is the time to ensure worker’s safety and their wages.
The fake accent though😂😂
Eastern India mainly West Bengal can take a cue from Bangladesh and start manufacturing apparel and exporting it at a fast pace, labour wages are similar to BD in West Bengal I guess.

Yes and they are killing all the poor
That really sucks that the workers are not getting any benefits, only the owners getting richer.
Agree
That’s so true
John
If you’re owner of the company what you will do?????
Don’t just focus on garment industry…there are so many things rich are became more and poor are getting poorer..
This is neoliberalism. The US perpetuates this.
Bernie will change this.
Labor very cheap cost and electricity low rates

Alibaba
Lots of textile businessmen shifted from Pakistan to Bangladesh due to our pathetic corrupt rulers and their pathetic governance. Now Pak govt is providing a conducive environment to regain the lost position of Pakistan in textile exports.
Yeah, in Bangladesh all the profits are gained by the owners. Wealth of a particular group of people is increasing but the common people can’t see any competitive development. And some nerdy international organizations are talking about the development in Bangladesh.
Bangladeshi Clothes Really comportable… This Quality also so good…
Its product Best products
Low cost labour is the main reason for the shift
Bangladesh Is great
Bangladesh is world no.1
whoever working in the germents sector company should be provide the accommodation.
We Bangladeshis are best
Masha Allah।
Cheap labour…workers paid less ….for doing quality…thats why they exploit the poor.
Will done Bangladesh from Pakistan 💟🙏😊
East Pakistan now bangladesh think if it was Pakistan than Pakistan was largest garment exporter
Please don’t tell modi je

Love Bangladesh click like button here

Happy for bangladesh. Hope bangladesh surpasses pakistan gdp soon.
Bangladesh is more better then india and pakistan !!
Garments owners are blood sucker of poor worker. Nobody aims to join as a sewing worker in Bangladesh Garment factory. They only join there for poverty. Factory owners take this as a opportunity to suck their blood.
More money in the bank for the stake holders…
The ceo of top garment company earns more in 4 days than a Bangladeshi worker earns in a year.
Factories are having NO order …….
Not trade war, Bangladesh is in very tough situation and their wages is so cheap, American manufacturers find a big opportunity their , nothing else.
This worker’s must fight for there own needs 🙂 if for ur right
God bless Bangladesh. Wish from India
The contribution of these sisters to Bangladesh is funded by God, but Allah does not evaluate who their garment owners are, they commit adultery.
Love from india
proud to be a Bangladeshi
🇧🇩 😍😍😍
Lying thru her teeth. “Most compliant”, yeh right. Even India can’t compete. 50 dollars a month kinda wage.
Trump/Modi/Tulsi on the throne = exploitation.
Bernie Sanders is the key to change the world.
@redama Socialist Fossil you mean? New ideas anyone?
🇧🇩♥🇧🇩
Our country is world’s no 2 in the list but we are too poor that we can’t wear the clothes 😂
In Bangladesh garment good quality. But. Bangladesh people life not good quality. Many of garment companies not own the country. All corporate [ 🐊] companies. They are eating local labor life.
Love to Bangladesh…. We can also learn a thing or two from you guys.
<3 frm Karachi, Pakistan!
Because Bangladesh policymakers are more smart than Pakistan and China, most of the Pakistani population is very low quality educated. Pakistan can never catch Bangladesh anymore.
Well Bangladesh as a country might be getting benefits out of garment industry but this comes at the cost of its poor Labour… The Labour remains poor and owner gets richer…. This is called exploitation….
Becoming independent from Pakistan was the best thing that could ever happen to Bangladesh
Entire clothing industry makes money due to cheap labour. But this sustainable cheap labour remains poor. Cheap Bangladesh rates are used to force other competitors/countries to lower their prices.
👍👍
could we see AL JAZEERA BANGLA?
“Without her husband’s income…”
Who wears the ‘longi’ in the house?🤨
Lol
Neoliberalism does. Tulsi Gabbard will be complicit in this. Bernie Sanders will change the world.
Make sure the factories are owned by Bangladeshi that will ensure they’re not subjected to tariffs, and negotiate a deal above bare bones, and pay your workers.
But I know you Indians have history exploiting your own people, you’re Indians, Pakistani.
Bangla is improving day by day thr gdp and business r good nw very sopn thy beat india in industry
Paying 120$ for a made in China Ralph Lauren polo… Worker payed 6$ per day..
Bangladesh 50 cents per day…
You costumer = a massive idiot!
i think their population is about 100+ M , so i though it was quite a large area nation, but when i saw it at a world map, the land area is quite small to home hundred million people.
This is when the government must step in to raise minimum wages. It’s the government’s fault, not factory owners
Great Respect to our Brothers,,, from Pakistan…
In 1969 september pakistan army led by brigadiar zia ul haq ( who later become pakistan president in 1979) led pakistan army killed 20,000 palestinian refugee s in jordan refugee camp. this incident is known as black september. pakistan army killed the palestinian refugees on the order of us president lyndon johnson . pakistan receives us aid in return pakistan does dirty works for usa. more palestinians were killed by pakistan army in 3 days than isreal did in 30 years . this is the true face of munafiq punjabi army.
Buyers should increase the product rate
Sultan
1 shirt = 20$
salary of the workers = 100$-150$/m
Textile workers put clothes on all humans in the world I see no reason why they should not be a world union of textile workers.
Men should show some gratitude and respect to the labor that puts clothes on your hairy ugly, fat, thin, bald, body.
I honor those women in all the textile factories in the world they do the work humanity cannot do without.
India produces the best woven fabrics – South Africa.
Moving businesses to Bangladesh is purely for economic reasons i.e. exploit desperate people for monetary gain.
Because they are using these country to get richer and people and country country poorer… It’s really sad the reality :((
Because they can exploit those workers to the max.
Rubana Haq I see the grin chiseled onto your face.
“Most sustainable” under capitalism = most exploitative.
MODI IS A BULLSHIT NEOLIBERAL.
TULSI WILL START WWIII.
YOU’RE NOT FOOLING ANYONE.
Cheap Workers, Company builds cheap factories. Factories burns down, workers die. All in the name of Capitalism in a country based on So Called Socialism.
Bangladesh rice country
Maybe if all these countries started paying the exact pay universally it would demand an end to both exploitation of peoples and a fair living wage.
Thus, countries wouldn’t have a need to sell their products and ship them elsewhere making other corporations rich and the worker left to suffer.
India…where the rich see their poor as being punished for some former life. Boy, do they ever need a good wakeup call…That is not so. “Do unto others as you would want done to you”.
“There, but for the grace of God, Go I”.
“The greatest thing in this life is a true and productive LOVE”.
*Remember these things well.
One phrase. Commercial abuse.
Willing to bet those people sounding so encouraging are at the top of the earnings ladder, not the abject bottom.
Very good quality products from Bangladesh
100%
Congratulations and many many thanks to Mr. Tanvir Choudhury for focusing our RMG industry from such a good platform. Please help us to focus our footwear industry as well. Thank you all for wishing the progress of my homeland’s industry.
