A medical emergency’s been declared in Jordan after at least seven people being treated for coronavirus died in hospital when their oxygen supply ran out.
The health minister has resigned, as the government tries to calm down furious families.
Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh ordered an investigation, while King Abdullah II arrived at the hospital to help calm angry families who had gathered outside.
Denouncing the incident, the king also ordered the hospital’s director suspended.

With everything already swamping them I shall presume it was overlooked as the focus was drawn to patient logistics, not that it makes a difference, just to have been purposefully dismissed any requests for back up generators would have been outright stupidity… surely this was an overlooked issue

@sneksnekitsasnek Many of Mexico’s residents are complacent and desensitized to everything happening in the country. Drugs are being legalized. Obesity is a huge health concerns. Illegal cartels and murderers controls the government. The government is led by a left-wing leader who believes you can strangle the gangs with tolerant hugs instead of bullets. A complete joke is what it is.
Some corruption in the government or an incompetent minister showing their true colors is the least of concern to these residents.
But yes, it’s strange how nonchalant and passive these people are when their country is in flames.

It’s happening in more and more countries across the world. The healthcare systems are starting to collapse. The patients and bodies are overwhelming hospitals across numerous countries across the planet. And now the new strains are gonna make it worse.
This is not the first time.The problem in Jordan is that the king started employing people just for their names to please different tribes which caused a lot of incompetent people running different ministries in the country.
You cant just bring in beduons who still believe in black magic and expect them to run a modern health system. The king needs to place people of Palestinian origin or only qualified people to run these ministries otherwise problems will continue since the country is being run as if it is livestock market.
Health system, educational, economy, social all failing since he started his experiment with these tribes.

I am not talking about the origin of these people. I am talking about competencey. You need competent people to run these places. In America Trump who is a successful business wasn’t successful as a president . He caused a lot of problems because it takes more to run such a diverse country. Jordan is a tiny place and it has a lot of problems because the power is only in the hands of one person and that by itself is another major problem. Apparently his choices haven’t been perfect and the country is still suffering and is failing except in keeping people, talent, innovation from catching up with modern world.
I visited jordan in the past and its a real mess but amazingly its people are generous and i think they do deserve better .
