the sad truth is abuse isnt always that obvious. More victims have no voice than do. People need to be on the lookout for less obvious signs so that voicless victims do not continue to live their whole lives with no voice. There are many abusers that as soon an infant is old enough to be taken out in public, they shift to using more descrete methods such as making sure all the bruises are covered by clothing, or using poison or drugs to hurt them instead. its sickening that these same abusers, often have ties to people in authority. thus literally are “covered for” by the very people who should be arresting them. They often pose as “churchgoing christians” and set flattering false reputations for themselves, then try to frame the kid as a “problem child.”

It is one of the worst things that can happen to a child. The destructive power of parents is simply awful. To my way of thinking, childhood is the foundation of your life. Think of how hard it is to build on a crumbling, unstable ground. Not getting help as soon as possible will mess up the rest of your life. How do I know? It was me. It is me. At 50, I am still trying to help the little girl, that was me, heal. It is a long, dreadful process; with the flashbacks that come at any given time. The dissociation causing the presence of feeling I can’t put words to. All this is for people who have suffered and/or are suffering the same as me. I am so sorry, you deserve better. That has to be the hardest of all: convincing yourself that you did not/do not deserve the horrid treatment that parents make you think you’ve earned. Call on CHRIST and mean it; beg, plead, and pray for help. Get to be your own best friend. You must learn not to hate yourself. What I did was read books; I would stop and think out loud to myself about what it said. I would find out how I felt about relationships; I found mt identity this way. Whatever you do, do not sweep it under a rug and act like it never happened or that it was normal. It did happen and it’s not normal. Get help, no matter how useless you may think it is, do it anyway. And you must separate yourself from the abuser; you must get away from them. That’s why I say pray, and beg for guidance; LET CHRIST HELP YOU. It is not necessary for you to go on a destructive path just because you suffered turbulence previously. You are allowed a good life, you are worthy of a good life. One of the best things you can do is be kind to yourself and others, and leave drama loving, pain causing, condescending, humiliating people alone; stay away from them.
