A flourishing olive oil industry in northern Pakistan is providing much-needed jobs.
The government hopes the grafting of native, ancient trees with modern ones will help grow lucrative groves in the areas bordering Afghanistan.
For its desperately poor residents who might normally have joined armed groups, cultivating these trees could provide alternative employment.

Sister may be you are unable to see the positive things happening in Pak because you are looking from inside and you might have brain washed through mafia media. As we look from the outside, we can clearly see the positive things coming from Pakistan. Diplomatically and economically. Pakistan’s image has built drastically in outside of Pakistan. Now people see Pakistan as a country which has great potential and the place where civilised people live. Earlier people thought it is a land where barbarians live (I know that is not true and it is the outcome of Indian and western propaganda. But majority of people don’t know this fact).
Has to be done more to build the image more to gain economical and diplomatic gain internationally. I believe that Siyalkot incident ( @Rafay Amjad ) also has been used and triggered by some secret agencies belong to enemies of Pak to spoil the good will of Pak in Sri Lanka and around the world. I strongly believe that TLP is strategically and carefully used by the enemies of Pakistan. Don’t support this un Islamic ideology of TLP and unknowingly support your enemies.
My kind advice for my Pakistan brethren is keep the current leadership at least for another term. Surely you’ll see the outcomes. I’m pretty sure after that you’ll keep this government for another 2 terms. If you people do so, in 20 years Muslim ummah will see a powerful Muslim nation who will support us in the Asian region and around the world.
Don’t forget brothers, you are the only Muslim nation who has nuclear power. You are a shield for the Muslim ummah. We have so much hope in you. Be united and strengthen the current leadership.
When you criticise, please look the holistic view. Don’t get fooled by mafia media and mafia businessman and politicians. Because most of the current prominent media and giant business people may be the friends and supporters of the previous corrupt political elite (previous both parties). Because that corrupt politicians supported their friends and made a strong Shields to protect their powers and strengthen their elite group. Both benefit from each other. It is not that easy to break that shield. You made that change and gave the power to the third force who doesn’t belong to the elite two parties.
Don’t miss this golden opportunity brothers please. Give your maximum support and be patient for at least another 5 years.
