Long answer: There won’t be an invasion unless there’s an attempt by ukraine to slaughter Russian natives in Donetsk and Luhanks. When I say natives, they chose to leave ukriane for Russia before the coup in 2014 (I believe) by, you guessed it, led by nato. They were not as lucky as Crimeans when Russia intervened before nato could act and send nationalist to wrech havoc there.
A better question is why the USA and NATO are such COWARDS!!!!!!!!!! All they do is bomb poor 3rd world countries but have no balls to stomp Putins head in.

That they would cross the street to avoid having to walk past him. As for his countrymen well i say it is fifty fifty as to their opinion. Anybody who is pro Putin will speak highly of him. It is also possible that Putin is waiting for more favorable weather conditions before he makes his move. Putin is a hard man to read and it is difficult to figure out what he is thinking. Russian and U.S. envoys are still talking and negotiating so we will have to wait and see.
Ukraine would target their supply convoys. The further they go in. The more fuel their tanks and vehicles will need. If they try to setup supply depots in Ukraine. They will become targets for mortars and artillery.
