Argentina is grappling with stubbornly high annual inflation, now running at 50 percent.
Some analysts are forecasting it will climb even more this year, despite promises by the government to rein prices in.
Al Jazeera’s Teresa Bo reports from Buenos Aires on how people are trying to adapt.

Prepare yourself. Prepare your families. Blame the globalists
Welcome to America!

Get a life and maybe go pay a visit to the dentist, something tells me you need it

and evil is avoided through fear of Jehovah.
Inflation is everywhere in the world
Oooooomm. Oooooommm. Ooooooooooommm. I am one with the Buddha… inflation does not exist…inflation does not exist…. inflation does not exist. Oooooommmm oooooooommmmm
*Fighting 7.5% inflation (more like 15%) with a 1% Fed funds interest rate is like stopping a forest fire with a bucket of water. Folks prepare accordingly. Make investment in other not to depend on the government for funds*
Take it from one who has it and buy a house in Missouri and dream Wrangler with forex trade profits. I started with Mr Charles R. Schwab of financial education and he has been my handler and guider for the past years
Been reading through the comments and when he mentioned Mr Charles R. Schwab I know he was right! he has been my Investment manager for long and I’m happy with his services.
Wow! Nicely said indeed no doubt Mr Charles Schwab is the best step to take following the current situation of the world economy, I have never believed in Bitcoin or crypto currency in all, but this has been a life changing encounter today!!
@Hank Kim I am also afraid and not sure about Crypto investment. It is a huge confusion and pain to lose money in Crypto investment.
Americans and Europeans complaining about a 5-7% annual inflation and Argentinians are experiencing 50% for years..
Man I don’t know how people live there, I’m getting word for the first time for information in my life and I’m 32. We haven’t seen him first like this in the US. The last 20 years was barely any inflation.
Venezuela: that’s cute
Rich people like inflation game because they can win easily
Yeah because the investment markets and real estate prices get inflated as well. The wealthiest people always get wealthier during troubled economic times- it’s easier for them to capitalize on society.
Man everywhere is like that wtf 😒. I’m 32 and I haven’t seen much of an inflation in last 20 years but now it’s been unprecedented inflation here in the US.
It’s the curse of mercantil countries. China and Russia don’t have inflation that high because they have huge reserves of gold, not reserve of papers and lies.
Can’t see any positive news .
Why Argentina and Brazil are poor , are they not mostly of west European origin?
@Alok Nath Without a doubt they were and in some ways still are ahead. Argentina is different though, even at the time when it was the 7th largest economy in the world it was mostly an agricultural economy. I don’t know of a time when Argentina was at the top in manufacturing and/or innovation. Argentina and Western Europe may share the same people but not the same history and circumstances.
Blood sucking corrupt politicians as usual
@Eyeism I thought only in india politicians are like this.
@la mulata linda Martinez It’s mainly “PARDO”, a mix of European, African and Native American, the main culture for most of the population is western.
@krnpowr It has to do with the history and the economic model these countries have, they are mainly urbanized countries but with poor Industrial complexes, relying on a few from the white agrarian elite to pay for the cost of living of many, industry in Brazil has low added value and accounts for only 11% of GDP. Currently there are 13 million people unemployed in the country.
Thank the wealthy for inflation especially American Rich . Now China will start meddling in Latin America. Blame white America for not totally embracing Latin Americans
High inflation means bad management of general! Public funds who are not efficiently managed, corruption, kick backs, friends from friends benefits, softening the hands (commissions), public behavior of seeking only personal benefit ect. A fundamental lack of collective thinking, distrust and a feeling of getting screwed over which is amplified by facts abuse of political power and and corruption. Result is a dog eat dog economy and society. This vicious circle is hard to fight because all participants are involved and it has also cultural ancestral and national roots.
Good , the argies deserve it, many of them look like a bit less food will not do them any harm.
Argentina has had nothing but economic problems for a century now. This is nothing new.
Rev 6:6 And l heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barely for a penny and see that thou hurt not the oil and the wine. World wide inflation.
India 🇮🇳very good country food is very cheap
I’ll bet these people don’t know that the TORT-TEEL-YAH has been to outer space on the space station.
Does she really said 50% or 15%? Can’t believe it!
50
It’s 50%. It’s unbelievable, but it’s true.
if romania got 45 billion $ since 2007 from eu , idk why world bank would loan 40 b $ to argentina , it can take over 30 years for payback.
I remember when Argentina used to be alone with information, now even the USA has high inflation.
What is sad is that Argentina have always been under inflation since Evita Perron.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”- Acts 16:31
Economic crisis is Burma too because of criminal general Min Aung Hlaing.
You’d have more beef eaters like myself visit your country if you’d stop allowing only the vaccinated to visit Argentina.
The government should take control of major food sources and keep prices steady. Good luck Argentina 🇦🇷
ARGENTINA POOR COUNTRY!
scary fragile state full of debt
We should nuke the UK and start a nuclear war.
Rev 6:6 “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages & 3 quarts of barley for a day’s wages…” inflation is only going to get worse. Now is the time to seek Jesus, while he can be found.
