The Polish government says 100,000 people have crossed the border into Poland from Ukraine since Russia’s invasion began on Thursday.
“From the onset of warfare in Ukraine through today, along the entire border with Ukraine, 100,000 people have crossed the border from Ukraine into Poland,” Deputy Interior Minister Pawel Szefernaker told reporters on Saturday in the border village of Medyka, southeastern Poland.

It is incredible what is going in Poland now, literally everyone is involved in helping Ukraine. Not only by donating money but personally we do everything we can. We are buying and sending food, medicine, weapon, clothes etc. to Ukraine and borders. We donate lots of money (although we are poor compared to all the west european coutries). We give refugees shelter (in our houses). We all are going to the border to take ukrainian refugees to our cars and drive them to the cities and our places. We are helping them with their pets and offer temporary houses for their pets. Everything unconditionally and for free. Just to help.

Everywhere in Poland we help Ukrainans people. I live in Northern Poland. Polish people show unbelievable solidarity these days. Help comes fast and basically everybody helps. A few days ago, my friend made an announcement on Facebook that she is collecting clothes, food, etc. for new arrivals from Ukraine(a mother and four children). She said that she has already got the whole van packed with stuff for the Ukrainan family. Moreover, still people call and text her offering help. The crisis made us unite.
