Istiqlal Mosque has been recognised for its efforts to reduce water and electricity consumption.
That has led to smaller mosques attempting to do the same.

How hard is it for a place of worship to be eco-friendly? Just go in and pray and go home. Don’t need anything fancy for that.
@mudshovel289 keep in mind that services such as “Sunday school,” religious wedding ceremonies, religious studies for children, events for guest speakers, events and additional lectures during Ramadan, both Eid holidays, etc. utilize the mosque facilities. It’s more than simply a place of worship. It is a community space.

There is something interesting about this mosque, especially on Sundays. This mosque is located opposite the church and when the church bell is sounded then after it is finished it is followed by chanting the azdan. so mosque is not the only one that causes noise pollution here.😅 afterall they both share parking lot
Are you suggesting whisper to call out the people? 😂It needs to be heard. But I agree there is no need to use the loudspeaker for everything else unnecessarily. And actually, IMO even calls to prayer need to be adjusted according to how widespread the congregation is. In my neighborhood, there’s a mosque every 100 meters or so, I can’t even hear the calling properly due to the stacking sounds.
