Rwanda’s Foreign Minister is calling for a de-escalation in tension, along its border with Democratic Republic of Congo.
On Friday a Congolese soldier was killed in an exchange of fire at the crossing.
The neighbours have had a strained relationship for decades.

I hate when people say when will Africa gain stability. Most African nations are very young having attain their independence in the 1950s and 1960s. So they are only about 60, 70 years old.
For comparisons sake the United States 80 years after it’s existence was fighting a civil war. And it would take another 70 years for the United States to become a superpower.
For many African Countries it’s going to take time for them to be nations they want to be. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Congo, on the other hand, is vast, with no organized army or central government, because of the enormous solid minerals that attract guerrillas from Rwanda and other neighboring countries

What I don’t understand with DRC, you have a bigger economy, you have minerals compared to all your neighbours. Why have Congolese failed to modernise and train well your army to be able to protect your country’s population and all your minerals. DRC army is a disgrace, one bullet like this throw away the guns and run. Uganda’s army, Rwanda’s army you fear them like Gods. If you can’t kill Ugandan and Rwandan battalions that come to steal in Congo you will never be respected. Wipe them out entirely to respect your territory.

DRC should focus on their internal problems. Rwanda has nothing to do with the problems DRC has. If its about minerals they should ask beligium, France and monusco, they are the ones that have their minerals for more than 100 years. Killing congolese who speak kinyarwanda wont solve the problem too, it will onlh make it worse, it might lead to divisio of Congo e.g Congo and Noth Kivu( since many who speak Kinyarwanda are from there)

This situation is crying out for Commonwealth, Sadc, and EAC, intervention; cooler heads must prevail. Rwanda & Congo would be a lot wealthier as partners rather than as an enemies. A military lesson for other African countries; your first line of defence is not poor, disorganised, soldiers, placed on your borders but a sound, corruption less, economy that can allow govt to mobilise resources and the population for war efforts. Congo DRC must cut the poisoning umbilical cord from devilish Belgium, a country that still denies responsibility for its horrific crimes against the people of Congo and the fermentation of hate in Rwanda. M23 RWANDA SOLDIERS SIMPLE
As you know Africans for the most part never drew the maps of nations, but European colonials did. When they did they drew the borders without care what consequences would come with their actions for the populous. People with Rwanda ancestry were separated by borders along with their land and livestock. This was before the genocide during the 19th century scramble for Africa that resulted in several ethnicities across newly created African states. So people of Rwandan Ancestry became Congolese because of the new states that were created. We can call them Congolese Rwandaphones. During the Genocide Rwandans of the Rwandan state became refugees in Congo. The difference is there are Congolese Rwandaphones who were taken with the land because Scramble for Africa and Rwandans of the Rwandan State who were refugees in the 1950s and 1994. Majority of them returned to Rwanda after Rwanda became peaceful. The Congolese Rwandaphones stayed in their lands and they are recognized by the Congolese Constitution(currently most politicians are contradicting the Congolese Constitution ). They formed militias to protect their people, livestock, and land because certain armed groups in Congo would steal livestock and kill them and also are marginalized by the Government. That’s why you have a group like M23. Currently Congolese Locals and politicians are calling them Rwandans and are killing any civilians of Rwandan ancestry regardless of a Rwandaphone of Congo or Rwanda.There are people who already have been killed by machete and burned alive in the streets who are civilians and citizens of Congo just because they happen to be born in Congo on their ancestral land.
Enemies within are the most dangerous one.This is one of the problem that caused Russia vs Ukraine war😭.Congo accepted many Rwanda refugees as their own when they were at tribal war, but now those refugees are used as a thorn in the flesh of Congolese .
Kagame needs to be impeached. that will bring the truth out and create a step forward to justice and union.
