It’s always so entertaining when the US shows off its utter hypocrisy. Shouldn’t Cuba be able to make its own decisions too? Venezuela? Who fomented the coup that kicked out Ukraine’s legally elected president? He may not be a prince among men, but then he was their choice. And the ethnic Russians were being discriminated against in the Ukraine. US foreign policy is so transparent and so repetitive.
Any Slavic nation like Ukraine that even tries to join NATO might be attacked by Russia. And Putin is serious about this.
Putin doesn’t want his brother and sister countries turning their backs up against him.
And joining NATO would mean just that.
While all Slavic nation’s, like Ukraine, have the right to remain sovereign. Yet, joining NATO will only rip relations between Russia.

Common perspective from western journalist that see, it’s Russia is the bad guy. In fact, Russia don’t put their missile in Canada or stay their Navy in English Channel. But the west put their missile in Czech and Poland and directing it’s tip to Russia.
So, I really hope, Putin will fire their missile to close such journalist like this and make NATO and West understand that a red line is a red line.

Putin has serious mental health issues and the ruling oligarchs of Russia – who want a peaceful life in cooperation with the West – need to act quickly. Otherwise their fortunes will evaporate.

Russians do not need to invade. They can take out most of Ukranian army infrastructure just with cruise missiles. Civilians should avoid to get to close these facilities if war break out.
The motivation of Russia is obviously economic stability. With a good supply of Oil/Gas and an Arctic sea route it would be possible. However others motivated by greed and power causing friction in the entire area have made this a hard call. Russian citizens deserve happiness and stability.
A big motivation for Russia is the threat of NATO. 30 years ago they declared, that they will not accept a hostile military at their border. Russia will DEFEND itself by force if it must. Western expansion is causing Russia to move troops to their western border. They have also declared that war is an option. As bad as it might be for Ukraine, i think the west should respect Russia’s concerns, to ensure peace in the region.

On the other hand the west is going full marxist, and is printing money like there’s no tomorrow. A conflict in Ukraine is a godsend to western politicians, as it will allow them to blame rising prices on Russia instead of their own short fallings.
As for Russia, they only need to keep their country together as the west implodes on its debts and unsustainable welfare spending. One look at the map and you can understand why they cannot allow Ukraine to be a NATO member.

I always thought that Russia is the best country, but now I stand for America and Ukraine. I read some comments, and I am still confused how anyone can support Russia. I just love peace and not a war. If you’ll support Russia, you will die, because of the war you are part of.
Even this plan would fail. Occupation is very costly and dangerous. Russia can invade but occupation is not feasible even in the ports. Putin is unrealistic because nobody is going to invade a Russia with nuclear weapons. No one has invaded Russia in my lifetime and I’m 75.

I didn’t know NATO promised not to expand its membership to East and broke promise 5 times after USSR broke up 30 years ago. Before asking Putin to not to invade Ukraine, NATO should also keep its past promises but Putin trying to invade other nation should never happen and try to solve difference by diplomatic way. Putin staying power too long is viewed as dictatorship thus he should also consider step aside for new generation of Russians.

It is really simple.. .Ukraine is an *existential* matter for Russia.. they have nowhere left to retreat, Ukraine is at their doorstep.
