Along the entire 1,500 km frontline, Russia is only attempting to advance in just one area, Bakhmut, but they’ve been trying for 1.5 months and haven’t made any progress capturing it. Almost everywhere else, Russia is retreating. Like this report says, the Bakhmut offensive is manned entirely by Russia’s special forces and mercenaries. It’s another sign of how incompetent the Russian military is. They can’t even hold onto their existing territory and instead of reinforcing those areas, they send their best soldiers to try (and fail) to capture new towns.

Ukrainian soldiers are already provided warm winter clothing. Russia already couldn’t properly supply its frontline soldiers with food, ammunition, and normal living supplies even before they lost Lyman, which was their main supply line (a train hub city). Now imagine how undersupplied Russia will be with Lyman gone and the temperatures falling below 0.
