Mining is usually a male-dominated industry.
But Zimbaqua mine, located in a rural area in northern Zimbabwe, is the first of its kind in Africa to employ entirely a female workforce to dig up precious blue aquamarine gemstones.
Its focus is on sustainable mining and empowering women in the region, most of them unemployed.

women can get prolapses of the womb if they lift too much heavy stuff…we are built completely differently….it’s very sad they have to send their kids away to ‘school’ for others to raise rather than be able to raise their own children….this idea of giving your kids to the government to raise is not a good one…
@sam likesfruit I am not tryng to hear about “built different”, all men are not the exact same size. So if men of different sizes can do the same thing, so can women. It may require working out, or if doing manual tasks they will get stronger and develop speed. There is no job on this planet that only a man/men can do.

Whenever i have to debate about gender wage gap i give the point that woman dont work at all in difficult jobs. But my respect for african woman has grown 1000% . U r a role model.
