Dear bots in comment section. Do not worry about heating in central Europe region. Winter is very mild right now plus 20 years ago nobody ever heard about using gas other than for cooking. We were able to live comfortably without gas heating before as we are right now. German standarts of living are ten times higher that in Russian federation so do not worry about us 🙂

Deindustrialization can only speed up further in Germany, due to MANY reasons: high energy cost, high inflation, plus American industrial policy (give hundreds of billions of dollars to whoever move their manufacturing into the States). Importing energy from elsewhere far away (instead of Russia) leads to more cost and being more riskier, e.g. Qatar is an example. What could go wrong?

American/Canadian natural gas is sold on the US east coast for $7 a unit. Liquifying involves supercooling and is energy intensive so it raises the cost to $10 a unit loaded onto the LNG tanker.
LNG crosses the Atlantic and is delivered to Europe and re-gasified into the European pipelines for $13.5 a unit. It is sold at an average of $37 a unit in Europe. It’s European companies making the big Euros. It’s European politicians like Macron and the German economy minister playing politics with blaming the US. I just don’t think there is much wiggle room for the US to lower the cost.
