Questioning someone elses authority, view of the world, interpretation of reality etc is dissent. Are Russians allowed to dissent from the official party line of the Russian government? Are they allowed to peacefully protest Russian government policies? I think we both know what the truth is.

People here are complaining but they don’t have bombs raining on them. So, you should be able to conclude that if you can only hear State news, then you will not believe a smidgen of what they tell you and take to the streets en masse.
I have seen videos from ppl who actually have been in or to Mariupol during all this time. I mean from them not mass media like you. And also heard them speaking. There are different types of information. I can clearly see that AJ is just another BBC daughter. Well, owned by it what ne can expect?
People said that Ukrainian tanks and artillery were hiding in apartment buildings or in between or next to them. Ukrainian soldiers dislocated themselves literally on the roofs of those buildings. Civilians had to leave there apartments and go to buildings basements and stay there for weeks.
This is the truth and not that Rus army was just bombing those buildings. In fact after they entered the city they went building by building getting out ukr soldiers out of them and after letting civilians out of the basements and evacuating them.
Ukrainian culture is really not to think about anybody else than themselves.
That’s why you are going to see most rich Ukrainians driving 4-drive Mercedeses across the Europe. Because the one ones who need protection most cannot leave Ukraine because they have no car or money and their health condition.
