Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomes President Xi Jinping to Moscow for a state visit and says the pair will discuss Beijing’s Ukraine peace proposal.
Putin tells Xi at the Kremlin that he has looked at China’s proposals for a resolution of the Ukraine conflict and he views them with respect.
Speaking at informal talks at the start of Xi’s state visit to Moscow, Putin also said Russia was “slightly envious” of China’s rapid development in recent decades.
President Xi Jinping’s first state visit to Moscow since the Ukraine invasion.
Both hailed their historic close ties, as Russia faces international isolation.

Furthermore, they invaded and began brutalizing the Ukrainian people without even trying to sit down at a table of peace to work out or negotiate with reason, prior to initiating Putin’s butchering of those fearlessly brave people of Ukraine. Let me be clear here. Ukraine is a small free nation, a friend to the Russian people with whom they have in common their DNA, spoken language, occasional history, and a common heritage. Then Putin chose to brutally attack them without conscience or discretion, invading a peaceful independent Ukraine. He then set about destroying everything and everybody in his path. He hasn’t given one thought or shed one single tear for the murdered babies and their laboring mothers at the maternity hospital that Putin chose to inexcusably bombed without strategic purpose or advantage in war; it was just mass murder. Nor has he apologized for the numerous little children whose lives he ended at such a young age as they huddled together in sheer terror up until his bombs hit their well marked schoolhouse. Putin has overtaken parts of Ukraine and the Crimea for the purpose of domination, and he has made it clear he has zero intentions of stopping. With occupied areas of land, Putin has gained a path by land to areas of deep water access that gives him a strategic advantage to quickly move supplies and war equipment in furthering his plans to forcefully invade other nations too, in his plans to forcibly dominate worldwide. That’s his true reason for pushing more lies and propaganda about NATO, the UN, and nations such as the United States. Together they’re what’s standing in the way of Putin’s war plans to succeed where Adolph Hitler failed. But other free nations around the world will never bow down to his evil attempts to enlarge his control and dominance as far and wide as possible through invasion and expansion by force. There’s no good reason to allow or encourage further invasions by this brutally violent dictator.
