South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv as part of an African peace mission.
Ramaphosa and three other African leaders are expected to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
They’ll then travel to Russia for talks with President Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg on Saturday.
It follows a visit to Poland on Thursday where he held talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda.

At 0.02 where the video starts, the picture is taken from Syria and not from Ukraine. While the US government denies medical treatment to its citizens, we have to choose to take a loan to pay for thousands of dollar medications or wait to die suffering. They take pictures from the Syrian and mislead the whole world as is from Ukraine, this will help to extract more money, which nothing from those money get to people in need. The millionaires and politicians dividing those money between them and the poor are being sent to the front to die.

The criticism against Ramaphosa & the African Union seems to be that they should stay of of this because they “can’t solve their own problems.” This curiously looks like the old racist trope that says “Africans should know their place.” The reality however is different. The war in Ukraine affects us all, especially the poorest countries in Africa, LATAM & Asia & they consequently have more to loose from a continuation of the war. Moreover, ordinary Americans & Europeans are equally & increasingly rendered unemployed, homeless, starving & dying of easily preventable diseases because of a lack of health care. Corruption in the US & Europe is as rampant & dwarfs anything Africans can even imagine. Yet interestingly these same doomsday prophets can’t get themselves to say Biden, Macron, Von der Leyen et al should sending &billion to Ukraine because they “can’t solve their own country’s problems.” This leads me to conclude that the reason for resenting this peace mission is the fact that its undertaken by Africans.
