The tragic thing is that, the rest of the world is forcing Africans to run a modern day structure of a country with institutions which is something that does not align with the way we live. The 54 African countries have either collapsed or are on the verge of a collapse. The world should leave Africans alone, let them run their villages along tribal settings and regress to how they lived hundreds of years ago. These endless wars in africa is a struggle to go back to how we lived before the coming of the colonialists.

@San Friday I apologise as I wanted to write something nasty. I am from Mozambique and we are going through some things here…since 2017, and there is lack of reporting about what is going on here. Maybe because we are a Portuguese speaking country. I don’t know… But I agree with you! Africa has to find the the right solutions for us and that fit us. That is the only way to guarantee the long term solution!

With so much aid stolen it’s a balance between humanitarian needs and inadvertently funding the conflict. There needs to be some kind of stability for aid to work

We never recovered. We are still killing each other and blowing each other up. There is armed conflict in every region of Somalia today, what recovery????? Is this state good enough where 20% of the country is controlled by a Terrorist group? Where are the EU leaders and the likes of Boris Johnson, Rishi Sunak, Macron, Baltic leaders etc paying visit to Sudanese people walking hand in hand with them and trying to show solidarity to these people. But on the other hands these leaders can afford to go to Africa and ask or dictate Africa’s support for Ukrainian freedom from Russia. Such a hypocrisy.

Heartbreaking. The United States and NATO already spent around 300 billion dollars on Ukraine sending military equipment, while African countries like sudan, darfur, and chad need 3 to 4 billion dollars per year to buy tents, food, water etc. Just Heartbreaking

The Ukraine conflict is not comparable to the Sudan conflict, so Al Jazeera is purposely been disingenuous with that part of the report.
Ukraine was invaded by a world power Russia and the NATO alliance historically against Russia has been giving billions of funding and weapons to Ukraine which has helped them to check Russia’s advance.
In Sudan it’s two military despots fighting for sole control of the country, big difference.
It seems only aid organizations will donate aid, money, materials to support the displaced. Don’t be expecting billions and billions of Western dollars any time soon.
There’s been a long running conflict in Central African Republic(CAR) and even Ethiopia, they ain’t getting no aids either except from aid organizations.
