One possible solution to Gephardts fears are to make presidential election ballots “ranked choice voting” instead of havingvto choose on a one party candidate. Ranked choice voting allows for a third party or more to be included on a ballot and voted upon.

I like the fact that ranked choice voting can eliminate the need for run off elections. Run offs tend to be expensive for local Boards of Elections and pull out very low voter turnout, so that means that the final victor was elected by a tiny percentage of the electorate. However, run offs are a feature of local elections, not really presidential elections.
In addition, Mayor Adams was the victor in NYC’s first ever ranked choice balloting, and unfortunately Mayor Adams has been a bitter disappointment, truly bad. And that’s considering that I voted for the guy. Hey, everyone gets fooled every now and then, but I’m just saying we might want to take a closer look at ranked choice before utilizing it in a presidential election. Unpredictable consequences can result.

Representative Jayapal should not walk back her earlier comment about Isreal, and apologize. She was absolutely correct in saying that “Isreal is a racist state.” Isreal targets Palestine time-and-time again, bringing terror, death, and destruction upon them.
