#LakeMichigan #GreatLakes #ColdPlunge
Anyone who doesn’t understand this I can tell you mental health experts are encouraging grown men with mental health issues to consider daily ice baths……Jumping into freezing Lake Michigan wouldn’t be all that different to an ice bath…….As they say there is some sort of connection found between ice baths and endophins…….This activity is not encouraged for people who have heart conditions etc because you might have a heart attack…..ask your doctor first.
😂
Fascinating
he was a penguin in his past life
It’s therapy for him supposedly
That definitely looks cold and frozen
My bones hurt as I’m watching it
This man will live to be 105 years old.
Now Next time you jump in stay in the water and don’t come out😉
all righty negative Nancy go take a walk
that’s just crazy, I repaired water lines for a living in cold, too, it wasn’t much of a living either. but for the plunge, I always told the new people starting, it’s not so bad when you go in, the hard part was when you come out 🤣. that guys insane🥶
You of radical left is guilty too about all these bad issues that US like high criminality, a lot of drug addicts, homicides, steals, riots and looting, high number of homeless, terrorist domestic groups like BLM and ANTIFA that is destroying our country, and of course the increase of possible terrorist attacks into US. And mainly the current bad situation of financial and social with high prices of food, gas public services, unemployment and others bad issues. Ours communications system like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC and others, too are guilty for all of bad that US is passing because supported the socialist agenda by Joe Biden.
He’s out of his fuckig mind
It’s proven to be one of the most amazing mental and physical benefits for our bodies. It comes from how we evolved. Look up win Hoff in the millions of people he’s helped
This is so lovely.
Smart man…that is actually good for you…
I’ll do it for 1 million dollars.
no Alzheimer’s for him 😊
White people. SMH 🙄
news reporters seem to have an overbearing presence in their interviews… all about me is a terrible culture
Helps lower blood pressure and depression
It’s a 100% dopamine surge
Hey, whatever works , man 😊!!
and was never heard from again….
When you find out Melissa Estrada jumps in frost 😂
I am Melissa Estrada
My body would probably go into shock and I’ll end up having some sort of medical episode.
Somebody needs to do a story on win hoff The Iceman, he’s helped tons of people
Wim Hof* And, yeah, that guy is incredible.
Isn’t this bad for the human body? I guess him getting bundled up right away prevents him from getting hypothermia.
Exactly the opposite. Cold water therapy is the best thing you can do for your body. Hypothermia is when your core cannot naturally heat up. Taking a cold plunge increases your body heat so you’re naturally more warm throughout the day.
I do this almost every day. It is the best thing for the body and mind. The only rules are, don’t think about it, just do it. Don’t touch the water before hand, it has to shock you. Don’t stay in too long. In weather like this, at least 25 seconds+, but no more than 3 minutes.
Got to give it up for the agility.
Dr. Andrew Huberman would be proud 😅
Polar bear. You should go on tour!
He is searching for those glocks
Why is this news? I live in Sweden and know many people who do this all year. Most coastal cities have open-air bath houses open to the public that are frequently visited all year by friends, families and is particularly popular among the elderly. This seems pretty mundane.
A toasty sauna outside of a cold lake at lake Bodom VS diving into frozen water with no sauna after. Do they frequently dive into frozen lakes? Thanks in advance for any reply. Cheers.
@@DevouredByADream Usung a sanua is more common but there are also many people doing it without. Many cities have social groups that saw ice pools and swim together.
@@interactingarts I think in USA it is uncommon maybe. Most people don’t like cold and especially cold water to submerge their bodies in…despite the health benefits if done safely.
I agree with your statement, but these are ‘Mericans. Heh. no Jokes aside, I think it is because America has a “big freeze” going on at the moment.
They have cold tub like a hot tub and a freeze machine like a sun tan bed
That mf is crazy.
CONGRATULATIONS on you doing what’s best for your mental health ❤
He got to be kiding he is nuts
Thats to cold
Whoa! 🧊 icy thrill!
He’s the man
It’s the reason they call it the “sober therapy”. I’ve been doing this almost every day for the last 30 odd years. I’m a swimmer and cold water is part of my daily routine. Helps me to concentrate and millions of other things.
Physiological response is an increase in dopamine released throughout the day to respond to the frigid temperatures that sheiveled his manhood and the thought of the Darwinian half him was much to much bear. Yes, I said much to much.
Chicago man takes cold plunge into Lake Michigan during cold freeze 🥶
I know it’s not the same as an ice plunge. but at the end of every shower I slowly fade away the warm water until I am just standing in a cold shower and there is something about it that makes my aches and pains go away and my muscles feel better.
