The professor must’ve fallen asleep during graduate class. The Arabs refused resolution 181 so they opted not to have a state but to just attack the Jews. Jordan illegally occupied the West Bank until 1967. Israel and it’s borders represent the borders of the previous administrative state, which was the league of nations mandate not a Palestinian state. The borders that were part of the mandate became Israel’s borders which included Judea and Samaria, which the Jordanians called the West Bank and included Gaza. The Arabs never had a state in the area of the mandate, they had no history of having a state there and had no jurisdiction in that area.
