This was phenomenal. This is what America needs to watch. This is what America needs to act like and to follow. This is the kind of pride and respect all of America should be feeling as a unified nation in stark contrast to what is actually taking place. Governor Cuomo (both brothers, actually), with his true leadership and fact-based briefings, devoid of lies and name-calling of those who disagreed with his decisions, represents what the United States should have been doing all along. I wish he had been in charge of leading this nation, or at the very least been considered to lead what would have been an effective task force, against the present plague. Instead, look at what we actually had: Liars who are all corrupt, unqualified and failures at all levels; all backing the tv personality to feed his ego and avoid being fired from their inflated-salary appointed positions. The only ones who were honest and qualified in their fields were either fired or publicly contrasted by the so-called “president” of the distinctly UN-united States of Hatred and Civil Distress. Had Mr. Cuomo been in trump’s stead, at the tip of the US spear, this would all have been drastically different. Look at what trump’s MAGA supporters have not only caused, but DESPERATELY WANT TO CONTINUE, IF NOT WORSEN, OVER THE NEXT 4 YEARS! What will be left of the former world power in the wake?
Governor Cuomo, you are a humble and noble man, undoubtedly wiser beyond what has been displayed on television, and you have NEVER lost sight of what needed to be done in order to address the needs and safety of your state and it its citizens. I applaud you and salute you, Sir. Keep up the fight, maintain your integrity and continue to be the beacon New York has been blessed with, having you as their rightfully elected representative. 26% of all deaths in NY were in nursing homes and he’s proud???…In 2016 NY had a shortage of medica equipment. Insead of replacing them he set up a rationing where a color code where they decided who would die and who would live…and he’s PROUD?!?
He PUT covid-19 patients in nursings homes!!!! More than 1,500 NYC inmates have been released during coronavirus crisis… 25, who was rearrested five times in April alone after being released …And while he let these people go free, he was trying to put law abiding citzens in jail for not social distancing

the same thing happened to Italy, there was the peak of infection, plateau and then they lowered down the rate of infection and death rate. It is the same everywhere as long as people follow the protocols of lockdown, wearing masks, frequent washing hands, and social distancing.
Watched his briefings and will miss them, and I don’t even live in the US, but I have learned that New Yorkers are tough and strong. Admirable people.

30,000+ deaths where Texas and Georgia and Florida have about the same combined and didn’t destroy their state economies. Not to mention New York had a massive budget deficit going into 2020.

This might seem bizarre, but I just wanted to THANK YOU for being a voice of reason, sense, understanding and control, I am not American, I am British but living in Spain. I have lived through this crisis on my own as my husband died in December 2016 after 43 years together, and this has been a truly scary time for me, but listening to you speak, with such clarity and leadership in a language I understood, has helped me come through this unscathed, as its not just been physical but also mental as well. I wish you well for you and your family in the future, please stay safe and well, the world need more like you and you could teach so many such a lot. PS, Please don’t get me wrong as I also think the Spanish government have done a fantastic job leading us through, but when I needed reassuring I listen to how you were dealing with this unprecedented crisis.
