It’s my understanding it isn’t inflation we need to worry so much about…It’s deflation. It last happened during the Great Depression. I tried to understand this concept, but failed.

Out of work, and on the streets, Trump’s brain dead supporters will still think the economy is doing well, because they believe what he says, regardless. They will still vote for him, even if he shoots their grandmother on 5th Avenue. His core support base of over 50 million voters has not changed, and the swing voters have the memory span of a flea, and the intelligence of a slug.
Trump has a reasonable chance to win. That is the reality.
He has the liberals, the white “nationalists”, the veterans, military, police, on his side, and he is working on the blacks.
That couple with employing all the election strategies and tricks in the book, he could just tip the balance in his favour.
No question that Trump is incompetent and ridiculous, but the problem is that Biden does not seem to have a particularly good reputation either. With his pro-China policy while the Americans are having quite a bad feeling against China with the current COVID going around, and also considering Biden’s age and his obscurity about his policy, I wonder if people will be happy to vote for Biden just because they hate Trump…
So, November will be a matter of which one the Americans “hate less”, not which one they “like”.
I still have to wait for about 4 years before I can vote in a presidential election in the U.S., but if I could vote now, of course I will vote for Biden. No matter how incompetent he is, he is at least not “crazy + incompetent” like Trump.
It would be unfair to blame Trump for the Corona virus, or the fact that there was an outbreak in the US. But, the responsibility for how that particular crisis is handled, the subsequent effect on the economy and with the George Floyd protests are firmly and fairly Trump’s fault and failings.
If he truly was a “war-time President”, then the innate need for strong, compassionate and humane leadership would be both a challenge and an opportunity. He could have been moving towards November with much higher approval numbers, critics would be forced to retract or adjust their opinions of him and his administration as he became the consummate leader America needs.
Instead, he retreats back to basics with more lies, racism, cronyism and mismanagement of the economy. Even the most ardent Trump supporter can see the writing on the wall, whether they’ll admit it or not remains to be seen.

If in fact it is a “historic landslide”, Biden would get at least 413 electoral votes, including Texas, Ohio, Arizona and Florida and perhaps also Alaska, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi and two of five of Nebraska’s electoral votes. If indeed their model shows only 328 electoral votes for Biden, it is NOT a historic landslide.
