China Eastern plane carrying 132 crashes in Guangxi province

China’s President Xi Jinping has called for an investigation into the crash of a passenger plane in the southern Guangxi province. The flight was carrying 132 people. ‘Targeted harassment’: Muslim girls in India denounce hijab ban

For four days a group of 28 Muslim girls stood in protest in front of the Junior Pre-University college in the Karnataka state after they were denied entry for wearing hijab – an issue that has snowballed to other colleges in the southern state. Russian-led military forces begin withdrawal from Kazakhstan

Russian-led forces sent to Kazakhstan to help curb unrest are starting to pull out as President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev nominated a new prime minister.
