It’s time The Middle East got it together and resist the neo-imperial exploitation by western and eastern overlords. The Israelis are not as nefarious as Arabs frequently imagine. Peace is important. Palestinians would have had a great agreement at the beginning but they rejected it. So did Arafat in his turn. The old corrupt guard was corrosively entrenched in its protecting its own selfish interests. Palestinians will live and breathe but it is time to put the old rusty ideologies to bed for good.
Business brings development and jobs as well as redistribution of income. The old idea of justice through recreating an illusion of “Palestine” and no Israel is a pipe dream. Trump is right – trade talks and business brings a better standard of living. Iran needs to be brought in to this nexus but they will have to drop their old tired destructive ideology of hatred, destruction and endless conflict.
