Thousands of anti-government protesters and police have fought in Colombia’s capital Bogota over President Ivan Duque’s planned tax increase, in spite of COVID-19 curbs.
The government is proposing new or expanded taxes for citizens and businesses to shore up its pandemic-battered economy.
People are also protesting over the country’s precarious security situation.

Duque ranks as the worst Colombian president since Samper and possibly of all time. During his adminstration in less than three years he has taken Colombia back almost 20 years. Massacres and the murder of social leaders are soaring, to now be well above 2018, 2019 and 2020 levels, police violence including the murder of unarmed civilians is once again common place, corruption is again endemic, few if any poor Colombians, who qualified, have received the paltry financial assistance promised for the pandemic and it is estimated that nearly half the population now live in poverty, compared to roughly a fifth when Duque can to power in August 2018. His regime has been a disaster for Colombia and its people, in many ways his actios resemble those of Maduro in neighboring Venezuela. Duque consciously refused to implement the FARC peace accord yet his government continues to take the additional 3% in VAT levied since 2017 to fund the agreement, where has that money gone? The additional VAT, budget cuts and a notbale reduction in corruption, which Duque promised on taking power, combined with improved tax collection and enforcement of existing regulations would likely raise the additional revenue sought by the Duque regime.

2.- élites politicas, (utilizan a oficiales y personal de la fuerza pública, como empleados personales, de políticos, altos funcionarios publicos ( los oficiales, se dejan utilizar, con el fin de llegar a generales, obtener pensión y algún cargo en una embajada o mínimo como vicepresidente).
La vicepresidente utiliza a una funcionaria del ejército, cargándole sus pertenencias ( cartera y otros elementos personales, hay fotos).
3.- los mayordomos (presidentes) utilizan a la fuerza pública, en la lucha o guerra interna de contra insurgencia ( 60 años matándose jóvenes generaciones de soldados, agentes, patrulleros y
guerrilleros rasos).

Élites económicas ( el banquero más rico de colombia, 4 o 5 familias más ricas, beneficiadas de la corrupción, contratos con el estado, la salud, educación, obras civiles, peajes, etc etc..).
Élites eclesiásticas ( arsobispos, obispos, cardenales), cómplices de las otras élites.
De la fuerza pública, ofi viales generales y oficiales superiores, (las élites la utilizan como empresa de vigilancia privada para cuidar personas que se creen virreyes, sus territorios y riquezas, negocios como el de la cocaína).
Esas élites igual a monarquía colombiana.
Monarquía que en sociedad con las élites guerrilleras y los ee uu, se ha beneficiado del negocio más rentable (la cocaina).
Más de 20 años de plan colombia y el resultado.
Glifosfato, bombardeos, muerte de soldados, policías, campesinos, jóvenes sin oportunidades de estudio ni trabajo.
Colombia el mayor productor de cocaína del mundo y lo ee uu el mayor consumidor de cocaína del mundo.
Los pensionados de la fuerza pública, estámos en deuda con el pueblo marginado, olvidado y utilizado por las élites.
Ese pueblo con salario reminimo, con sus impuestos aporta para que nos llegue la pensión,
el sueldo de 32 millones a los congresistas y pensión de las élites.
