Fighters opposed to the military government seized a police station in the eastern town of Mobye on Sunday.
It was set on fire, and at least 13 security personnel were captured or killed.
And after facing nearly four months of a violent crackdown – a growing number of young, anti-military protesters are joining ethnic rebel groups for training.

The military, with the support of CCP, is slaughtering people in Myanmar. Dead bodies of protestors are returning home with missing organs and the millitary even asks money for dead bodies. There are still people out there fighting for freedom, without violence. Miss Universe Myanmar held up the “Pray for Myanmar” sign and said “Our people are dying and being shot by the military every day,” She wanted everyone to “speak about Myanmar” since the millitary is controlling the media, not many know of the reality. So global people here are concerning about Myanmar, writing their wishes and prayers on related videos. You should be thankful for them. (Oh sorry.. do you support the millitary? Is that why?)

Why do you believe NUG will be able to provide human rights to all ethnic groups? Why? What is the reason you believe that? The main reason Rohingyas are not joining your NUG is because NUG includes people who hate Rohingyas openly in the past. Do you know that? So and so to Rakhine, also to Shan. Just to mentioned a few. I only see this on the point of self-interest of these groups. For Junta, supporting Rohingya’s right means losing their key supportive base of Buddhist nationalists while for NUG, supporting Rohingyas means, international support and support from neutral and progressive local Myanmar peiple. I am not alright saying NUG will be 100% perfect but for sure, 100 times better than the Junta.

Don’t mistake the world ethnic people fight for independence
I support democracy and young people, but this strategy is misguided. Unless you have more powerful weapon than the army, you will see more death and still find it difficult to win. Moreover it will give army an excuse to kill more people. If you go for violent option, you have to make sure that you have more firepower than the army. Otherwise, non-violence is the way.

We hate violence for real which is why we were protesting peacefully and choose Civil Disobedience Movement. But the junta are killing us brutally day after day as they used to do genocide on Rohingya. We did really hope UN Peace Keeping Force to protect us. But it is not sure to do so. That’s why we’ve gotta protect ourselves by arming.
Sadly they will most likely not succeed. Myanmar is in China’s backyard, and so long the Chinese’s investments are still in the country, China will not allow any action that threaten it. the Junta will stay in power as long as they guarantee China’s investments there, unlike the now banned democratic government who has been getting closer and closer to the West, which irritated China.
