It easier and cheaper to buy vegetables than grow them… you can spend that time more in making money. Unless you are growing them for business.
Lol that’s me with the luggages
interesting info
11. Children
Money is earned to buy freedom.
children too
You can send your broken Ray Bans back to the company, and Ray Ban will send you a new pair. I did that, and I hope that works for you!
Yes, it astounds me how many people can have storage units. Also yes, pets, be mindful of vet visits, grooming, special diets, etc.
I may be an old woman, but I have learned a-LOT of things in my many years on this earth.
Keep spreading good advice to the young people Nate!!!
Did you misplace your razor?
I do most of these things too!
labor costs : yeah .. but not everyone can do, for many reasons- physical etc
I totally agree with you 👍🙏
A gold fish 😆
100 Santa Claus 😆😎
You look sleep deprived dude
I just found your videos this morning and have been watching all morning. Really great content and such practical advice. Sounds dumb, but I would love to see a “traveling as a minimalist” video showing how you pack so light. I hate packing for trips and fall into the trap most do of better take more than what I think I need and then I get home and realize I didnt wear half of it. Again, great videos and thanks a lot for them.
I would like to see your camper 🙂 you give alot of good advice
Would love to see the truck camper video happen! I’m also minimalist and enjoy the travel/tiny living videos.

Telling people to buy $10 sunglasses is poor advice, there’s a reason why brands like Ray-Ban charge 10x that, and it’s not just because of the name. Cheap sunglasses are extremely dangerous for your eyes as they don’t have a UV filter.
lies
@Daniel Fhima Google is your friend
Nice tips. But people, don’t forget you don’t live forever. Save money and also live a comfortable life or else someone else will spend all your saved money.
Don’t live such a frugal life that it’s uncomfortable
Already looking forward to what u gonna list in a couple of years.
yes want to see camper conversion vid
Make $1000 buy a horse. Yes.
ALSO make sure you have the time for said pet. If you make 10 grand, but are rarely home please don’t get an animal that needs attention. Adopt a grumpy old cat that needs a loving home vs that little kitten who needs loads of attention etc.
You are very wise for one so young. Great great advice 👍👍👍
I have spent way too much on Door Dash. It’s crazy! I have made a pledge to stop!!
Truck build! 🛻🛻🛻
I’m the same with not wearing white clothes!😄
Nate, i would love to see your truck 🙂 Happy road trip too !
If you are thinking of getting a pet please adopt from the shelters rather than buying!
Per the thumbnail… I’ll refuse to buy an airplane, and I’ll not buy a potted conifer. But to give up buying a carrot???? Madness, man.
Buy a carrot a week. It will only help you.
Gardening is actually pretty expensive
I’m Russian who live in Philly. I think you is not typical American. Americans like to spend money on things which they don’t need.
Thank you for video!
Video TLDR: “Look, I’m 22…”
Great tips …..New cars do appreciate a lot…but we buy them new and drive them until they die…we have a 2003 Nissan that we bought new; it’s still going after 18 years b/c we keep the oil changed. We stopped buying used b/c they were not dependable….we were always having the inconvenience of them breaking down and needing repairs…Food: I’m very frugal and if I’m out shopping and will need to eat lunch b/c I’ll be gone all day, I take my lunch with me. I used to think “it’s only a couple of bucks if i order off the fast food value menu…but if you are frugal, and do the math, for the price of that meal you can eat lunch for a week. A loaf of bread and half a pound of lunch meat can be had for $2 if you shop at Aldi, Wamart etc. I know that’s extreme but for those people who have little money for food after they pay the basic necessities, they need not go hungry. One fast food value sandwich and drink for $2 to $3 vs a sandwich and water or iced tea, to drink, for a week??? Also, I always take my big Tervis tumbler, half full of ice and a beverage like water, tea, soda, etc so that i don’t find myself dying of thirst and shelling out $1 or more for a cold drink. It saves time too, b/c I don’t have to wait in line. Water from home costs pennies vs bottled water, etc…you can make iced tea from tea bags for pennies too. For the price of one soda out you can get a 2 Liter and have soda several times. I don’t generally keep soda at home b/c it’s more expensive and has no nutritional benefit. But once in awhile I treat myself. I’ve been frugal all my life b/c I saw my grandmother and mother struggle financially due to divorce. It made a lifelong impression on me.
_laughs in needing prescription sunglasses_
I am 71, when I travel I take a carry-on and a tote bag. So does my husband. Never take more than you can carry. Tina
Cable tv, satelite tv dish. Cellphone contract service. I have prepaid service. I dont buy any soda drinks or juices. I dont buy boxed frozen food.
Graham Stephen is gonna love this guy
If you say “have no pets” (you cannot afford), you can also say “have no children” (you cannot afford) or “have no wife”(you cannot afford). Best thing to safe money is: “Don’t have a life”.
I think it’s easier to make $100 more, than to save $100. So maybe we put our afford into that ? Of course, doing both gives you $200.
Bold of you to assume I would eat a vegetable
😌I’m 35 and everything you’re saying is dead on correct. NEVER apologize for giving smart intelligent advice because you’re 22!
Nate, it’s nice to see you a little more personal and animated. Loved you on Graham Stephan and Jack’s show! Be sure to continue this trend. We all want to know more about you, though we know you’re close to the vest on certain subjects. Maybe talk more about non- financial goals such as marriage, family, what you’re retirement dreams are, etc. Try a Q&A…you can always pass on what’s too uncomfortable or personal. Thanks for all you do and especially your enthusiasm!!! Live well and stay safe! Oh, and what’s your workout/food routine?
I get a Google Pixel, and I don’t pay over $500 for a phone. That’s crazy. Hell, $500 for a phone is freaking crazy.
If you can’t grow a garden check out local farmers markets during the spring and summer months.
I will buy a cheap phone so if it is lost or damaged, it is not painful.
at this point lets not live our lives and just suffer and make money lol ? i mean I have a dog I watch netflix I eat outside my home sometimes once a month with friends I travel outside my country I don’t have a car because everything is literally 100 steps away but I can afford all of this I don’t smoke or drink because this will just eat my money and its not good for me because I don’t like the smell and taste of this so I stick to things I like yet I still have enough money and I can go to grocery store and buy things I want to eat without looking at the prices like many people do
My balcony it’s tiny but I made a vertical garden there for strawberry, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, rucula, mint and other small plants. Works great except of course in autumn and winter.
People, eat your vegetables. Not everyone is privileged enough to have people growing food in their parents garden. Eat cheap frozen vegetables, if you must. Really, they are practically the same nutritionally, as fresh .
My Raybans are 15 years old and still going strong.
I LOVE THIS. I wear my dollar store sunglasses at night. 😎
Yes please truck buildout. It fits this channel. 100%
Wtf ! He is 22??
Caio, I have lost so much through investing cause I was new and didn’t meet the right one to invest with. I was at the verge of quilting till I was introduced to *kelvin1uptrades* on !G and my story changed..
Good concept in general. But it’s very 22 year-old and only applicable for certain people. Still great content
you pay 30 dollars for 15 dollars of cold food in doordash.
Hey Nate. Woof.
Did u hv botox? Ur face is not moving hehe
U wont be able to bring ur money with u when u die anyway lol .. live.
The sunglasses one was dumb. Cataracts is definitely something you should prevent so spending on good sunglasses is a good idea
its been 10 years, and i have not dropped my phone or cracked a screen.
I take my cat outside home and they eat the rest of my foods or eat small animals..
Yes, let’s see the build out and some travel videos too.
My boyfriend can’t travel very light as he is very tall and his clothes are really big!! He’s a big guy, that’s why he always needs a big suitcase 🙁
You look different from your older videos
“I just can`t have nice things, I break them” – can totally relate to that
vegetables are never going to cost thousands of dollars lol they are very cheap in general lol
For sunglasses- get Shady Rays. They will send you new ones if you break them.
I am really interested in how much money you have saved. You make all this videos about money saving, minimalistic lifestyle, so just out of curiosity how much money you have saved.
“I can’t tell people how to live their life”
1.1 million subscribers: “please tell me how to live my life.”
So you can save money bc your parents spend them on growing vegetables. Very convenient, and totally hypocritical!
You should check out Sungods sunglasses. They have a lifetime warranty on the frame, built for extreme sports. They are amazing!
Thanks))
Tomatoes at Aldi are pretty cheap
im really glad you brought up the pets. Im 21 recent college grad , so im thankful to have my parents who can front most of his stuff but i had a beagle for emotional support and i was essentially living $500 a month and those months that i had to take him to the vet. $100 for vaccines. Its crazy they are truly expensive, and even pricier depending on the breed. I always tell people who want a dog or something make sure they can take
care of it especially when they want a puppy its really like taking care of a kid.
I love you , but the garden need maintenance, that takes time, that you can invest into making money
Nate, I love your videos, thanks for the great content! What is your opinion of monthly subscription services? For example, one of my goals is to learn Spanish and purchased a Babbel subscription, but I have also been trying to budget and I have considered cancelling this to save money. Would you say that taking a class (a one-time payment) is more cost-effective than a monthly subscription for learning new skills like this?
Learning a language is a long-term goal, so if you rely on a monthly subscription to learn, you will be paying that monthly fee for a very long time. There are so many free sources to learn a language.. tons of youtube videos, free language exchange through apps like HelloTalk, websites, etc. I did a free trial of Babbel but didn’t find that it helped me any more than the free resources out there. Everyone learns differently though so you have to know yourself to know if it is worth it
“If you make $1000/month, don’t get a horse. Get a goldfish or hermit crab”.😂😂😭
Nate, hear me out. Dollar Tree sells great aviator sunglasses for a dollar, and it comes with UV protection.
Your point about pets is so true. I took over my family dog in my early 20’s and put so much money towards her over those years. I was lucky not to have a massive vet bill at that point in my life, but was still always amazed by how much it cost to keep her well. She was her own line in my budget, so worth it, but it took commitment and sacrifice.
Man you are soooooooo honest.
Dont buy Carrots, Trees, and Airplanes. Check.
Don’t buy carrots?
I agree with most of your points.. but not cheap shoes! You are most of the time of your life on your feet.. they deserve better! Besides they are cheaper in the long run than cheap ones because you can repair them several times..
In india you can get a burger delivered for like 3 usd
I live in an apartment with my partner and there is no space for gardening. Sad. I’ve assessed having a small garden (on the balcony) but the effort and time committed won’t justify the output. In the end, I would rather have more time resource and real-estate resource and pay the price for some standard vegetable staples (broccoli, lettuce) routinely. Each case is unique and you do provide lots of food-for-thought! I’ll reconsider when I upgrade to a bigger house when I have kids.
Nate: A horse is gonna cost a helluva lot. Maybe get a goldfish or a hermit crab.
Me: *googles hermit crab monthly upkeep costs*
These 10 things are either very common for everyone else except me or this list is for super bougie people haha.
I buy cellphones that are at least out of season 2-3 years and use them for at least 3-4 years (usually when the glued in batteries no longer hold a reasonable charge). Though i still have my HTC slide phone for 12 years now and it’s been great as my alarm clock and desk clock.
The first sentence is the most important one, spending money on what is important for you. If partying is important spend your money in, if you live shoes buy them, if you like restaandnit is important spend money there…. and cut everything that did not bring value to you and it could be car, going on vacation or even house. Maybe you don’t care having a fancy car or you don’t care living in a big house with garden and modern furniture…. but just need to understand if you spend money on something it means you will not spending on something else…. and yes people will tell you that you are stupid to spend your money in disco rather than on house but this your choice
Ahahah avoid bagage fees i keep telling my wife to not take so much in ou car…. maybe i ger used to go on business trip super light…. most of the time it is cheaper to clean the clothes in the hotel than checking a suitcase or just buy a new cloth
Sesonal stuff i still have a tons at least 50 big boxes but over time i focus on what i love and enjoy the most which is Christmas village and this ye1r i will throw away and sell all decoration i don’t use anymore. Once again it is spend on what you like
Paying for labor could be useful if you will make morenmoney during that time. It is important to understand our value
Thumbnail Nate: don’t buy carrots bro
Me: perfect hated those buggers anyway
Imma marry this guy pretty soon. Keep cashing in babe!
N:“If you don’t have yard buy pots and grow vegetables there”
Me: 😆😆😆 good luck!
I drive a 20 year old volvo, its like a tank and you can repair it cheaply. I will keep it untill I die if possible. 🙃😁🚙
