Except when it was tried and completely turned around an economy and Germans had the lowest unemployment, highest standard of living, and lowest crime rates in their history also a gold backed currency of course this all stood in the way of the plans of the US and its allies spreading communism so ww2 happened.
Hopefully Germany will move in a new direction away from Neoliberalism but I doubt it. I would love to see a Far Right Germany again like it was during the Second World War.

Olaf Scholz fashioning himself as “male Merkel” is LAFABLE (pun intended).
No one is born yet that can be described as a “male Merkel” because NO POLITICIAN in this planet would want his/her accomplishment to be summarized as “just managing”. Every politician wants “explosive”, sensationalized achievements. Not “boring yet effective” action like what Chancellor Merkel did.
Angela Merkel is that reserve battery you use when there is a blackout. The wind gust you hope for when your sail stands still at sea. You hope for it and once it is done, you forget the help.
If there is any sliver of political interest Angela Merkel had as Chancellor to protect, I must have missed the mark. I am Asian but still. Like what they say: “All good things must come to an end”. Angela Merkel was one of the best Germany can achieve.
Sad to see a leader like her go because she showed compassion towards Refugees. If Germans cannot see that ANY PERSON in this Planet, may it be Syrians, Middle East, Japanese, South Koreans and Yes even British and Americans HAS A PROPENSITY TO COMMIT CRIMES in international soil because being a criminal is not race centric, it is their loss.
Angela Merkel leaving IS Germany’s loss. Not Merkel’s. Because Angela Merkel did not need to kill members of her own party or trick Germans that she was “the answer” to their employmemt to win as Chancellor.
