More US troops have arrived in Poland to reinforce NATO’s allies in eastern Europe amid the Russian military build-up on Ukraine’s border.
There are growing fears of a Russian invasion, although Moscow denies it has any such plans.
Ukraine’s President says resolving the standoff through diplomacy remains the most likely outcome while his foreign minister deems the country ready to fight back.

Hope Russia is only trying to convince Ukraine and the world it doesn’t want NATO/ European Union at its border.
Russia’s war games and troop movements are all within their own borders. Yet, it is considered aggressive. Meanwhile, American military units occupy military bases all over Europe and the world, and have units situated on the Russian border, but that is seen as defensive. The doublethink required to believe these two contradictory things require immense indoctrination. I live in Eastern Europe in one of these countries on Russian border and I have zero fear of a Russian invasion because I’m not a complete idiot who doesn’t understand geopolitics.

(If you’re thinking of the Baker-Gorbachev meeting around German reunification, Gorbachev himself has confirmed that Nato expansion beyond Germany was not even discussed.)
