After K-pop, K-drama and K-movies, K-food has become the latest South Korean export to have gained worldwide popularity and become a lucrative market.
During the pandemic, global sales of instant Korean noodles surged, especially in the West.

Wow
Very delicious food
🤦♂️
seems like “west” will follow anything k-pop(or koreans in general) does at this point lol. I know its mostly the stans, but still not so kewl
America is still the leader in what the world follows. I’m glad for a different flavour.
Don’t like ramen noodles but the spicy sauce looks delicious.
When Koreans say ramen, they’re referring to instant ramen. Real Japanese ramen with freshly made broth and noodles is next level delicious.
At the end of the day… I’d prefer fresh noodles over instant!
@erich214 I agree instant noodles are not something I would eat. I’d rather have soup or a sandwich. Any food that advertises itself as ‘the slag of all snacks’ (Pot noodles) should be avoided. Stay safe.
@Joseph De-haan not to mention micro plastics leaches from the bowl into the bowl wen heated
@Tazboy You could get around this concern using a ceramic bowl or a pot when rehydrating or cooking instant noodles.
I think instant noodles is way more unhealthier compared to real noodles because of all the msg, Instant noodles is one of my main foods but I want to find a healthier alternative
Wow. People are just sheep.
This is simply not good food for you.
@Tazboy How is MSG bad for you? What do you mean by bad? Just listing ingredients doesn’t make them bad?
@Yb Nd I’m not being funny and am not trying to come across as rude. Good critical thinking and communication is important to me and I appreciate you responding. With that in mind are you saying all flavourings, spices are bad? If all the ingredients used in a dish don’t contain some form of nutritional value then it’s not good?
empty calories indeed but one can enjoy once in a while
Since when did people eat healthy foods in MukBang content?
오뚜기가 더 사랑 받기를❤️❤️
Ho humm
No thanks, Msg gives me headache
Me too it increases my chances of migrain
That’s a placebo effect. You’ve convinced yourself that MSG causes headaches.
@Chudley Flusher Hi Chudley. A placebo effect is just as valid as a direct chemical reaction. Also most placebo effects are unconscious processes, in that we don’t have any direct control over how the knowledge effects us physically. There have been trials where people directly know they are receiving a placebo and it doesn’t change the statistical outcome. It’s true there is no evidence that MSG is any more harmful than any other flavouring and as long as people don’t spread fallacies that it’s harmful, if people don’t want to eat it its fine. My friend says she is allergic to MSG so out of respect I would not put it in food I’m cooking for her.
@Joseph De-haan
Indeed.
Since the coronavrius is here noodles 🍜 it make me hurry
I like korean manhwa. I.e solo leveling
Me too lol
Very unhealthy proc3ss food …
What about pizza? Canned beans (heinz)? Cereals that is said to be ‘fortified’ but with hard to pronounce chemicals ? Frozen burgers? Processed chicken fingers, nuggets pizza pops? Sodas? What about those?
0:06 it’s not ramen noodles but Guksu(국수) noodles. and this dish is called ‘jjol-myeon'(쫄면) fyi.
Maybe these noodles will lead them to find bibimbop and chapjae.
Meanwhile in North Korea
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They actually find pregnant rat as a delicacy, YUM!
There’s no war in ba sing se
Meh, I don’t see the hype… not that healthy…
People now day are so delusional, only care about their own little world called obsession……… go do religion, it will help you’ll as a people
The irony.
It’s just the mukbang spam on yt.
like u would put mortadela in beans and mortadela would be just vaporized very vapor tasty , i ate sometimes that , korean dishes might not be actually bad , not that not good for you.
As a Australian, rent too high to pay normal food. So I survive on rice balls (Tuna with rice inside) and noodles. You can add your own sauces and even add small bits of tuna, spices and flavours. I didn’t realise this until I hit 27 but you can make even the worst cheap noodles fresh by adding the smallest cheapest items along side. I can now survive over a week on $40.
Im Australian too, where do you get rice balls from?
Korean food is amazing
and here I thought I was the only one with an increased consumption of fire noodles, kimchi ramen, and mandu
Since when is west a country?
a decade late aljazeera. kfoods have been popular since the 2010 and before
Korean /japanese food are relatively expensive in our country. Korean drama lover and k pop lover who love to consume it. My family food taste runs to local food and mostly vegetarian😄. I try to buy japanese/korean dish to them and they don’t like it 😔. They just try once and never repeat order😂. My father even doesn’t want to try it😅. We don’t follow trends😅.
A Lil late but nice content 👍🏼
Gay.
instant noodles give cancer stay away from it
South Korea’s music, food and culture being shoved in my face too much.1.Mukbangs are promoting unhealthy eating habits. 2.Kpop is basically watered down rnb/rap, it’s a joke. 3. Their culture is very uninviting, it’s very competitive. 4. There is nothing about this country that to me warrants all the attention, it’s just shallow.
Consumerism and hypercapitalism in a nutshell. Good neoliberal policies back in the 80s that successfully brought countries out of poverty, is now leading to mass shallow consumerism and big corp takeover of everyday life.

Puh-leaze I was eating chappa-guri years before Parasite (haven’t even watched it yet), it’s not a made up dish
yeah! Asians are yummy too, just give it a try girl!! LOL
The world is giving Korea a marketing boost about their food to get them away from the fact that South Koreans eat dog. K
That little seasoning package always attached to instant noodle meals is highly harmful to your health, look it up.
Personal opinion but korean cuisine is so much better than japanese food.

Among the food culture of Korea, special things that distinguish it from the food culture of other countries. //
1. Perfect vegan food represented by Korean Buddhist temple food
2. An endless variety of soup dishes
3. Kimchi: Vegetables fermented with animal protein represented by cabbage kimchi. In the past, only Koreans made and ate it. There are over 800 types of kimchi.
4. Jeotgal: A fermented animal-based sauce made from seafood. In Korea, there are more than 140 different types of salted fish.
5. Ssam: It means wrapping all the ingredients you want to eat in various leafy vegetables represented by lettuce. However, unlike burritos, you have to swallow them in one bite, so you need to adjust the amount of ingredients to be wrapped appropriately.
6. Herbal Medicine Ingredients : Herbal medicine ingredients are not only eaten for special diseases or health, but are also often used for general home cooking. For example, as ingredients for Samgye-tang, Mulberry, Tree Aralia, Eleutherococcus Sessiliflorus, Mongolian Milkvetch, Korean Angelica, Ginger, Jujube and Korean Ginseng are used.
7. Namul : South Korea is the country that eats the most dishes made with only vegetables without meat and seafood protein. Namul are foods made with one edible plant as the main ingredient. Examples of the types of Namul include Shepherd’s Purse, Stringy Stonecrop, Korean Angelica-tree, Korean Wild Chive, Butterbur, Bracken, Doellingeria Scabra, Bamboo Shoot, Chamnamul and Cirsium Setidens.
// Etc… Korea shows a distinctly different food culture from neighboring countries in Far East Asia (China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Japan).
