As much as I dislike Anthony Blinken, I think his hands are tie. Nancy Pelosi exploited the separation of executive and legislative branches to the max. She knew fully well what the results would be cased by her visit, but she still go ahead as if challenging China to stop her. Well, her plane took a detour fearing that China will shoot it down. But I don;t think China is that stupid, wasting a missile on her, and create a huge fire, figuratively speaking, which is going to be hard to put out.
She is a typical trouble maker since she was a young woman. China was her pet hate, and her hatred for China hasn’t abated by her advanced years. This visit is her last hurrah before she disappear into obscurity because the Democratic Party is likely to lose the next election, and she won’t have the freedom like she has now to zip around the world lighting fire.
It is a pitiful sight to see her clenched her fists, talking big, talking about democracy and freedom, yet she nearly lost her life on January 6th when the mobs who were enabled by democracy and freedom, stormed Capitol Hill. And what did she do? Did she stand firm, and tell the mobs to go home, that she cannot be intimidated? Far from it. She took off in a hurry via a secret tunnel and hid in secret hideout, protected by security guards. Not so brave then, I reckon.
