Decades after the Nazis murdered more than 1 million people at Auschwitz, survivors returned to the death camp, some for the first time. It’s a solemn journey, but they go to honor their lost loved ones.

These folks might have been the last people ever happy to see the Russian Army.
Jews in America fearing anti-Semitic attacks should do what the Jews in Germany couldn’t. Arm yourselves, defend yourselves. If Israel has shown us anything since WW2, it is that self defense is better than no defense, and Israelis are good at defending themselves.
😢😢😢😢
WHY???? Would u return to a place where you almost lost your life?
I wouldn’t dare walk those grounds I’m too scared I’d feel as though I am walking on the people who perished ugh how horrible to know what these poor people suffered separated from their families on top of other things Smh
5:15 is heartbreaking 🥹😪
Israel’s government should learn from this and quit doing to the Palestinians what the Germans did to their citizens
I used to hear the story of one particular man that survived by hiding in an orphanage where every year on his birthday his parents baked his cake and even after losing them, the family that took him in continued to make his birthday cake every year. The recipe was always the same each year since his parents did it for him. I remember meeting him at a conference in high school where he talked about his experience and most of us crying at the end. I remember giving him a really big hug with tears falling and all I could say was “I’m so sorry” without crying further. No matter how many times I hear about the holocaust it still makes me emotional. I pray for peace for those slain in the camps and current survivors as well.
Beautiful scenery but..I don’t recommend putting them back to auchwitz…???
They where not forced back
Strong people survive…I’m glad they are alive
🙂
You can ask still surviving vets what they think about war or ww2
Imagine being in the same place, at the same time 🤔
FILIP MULLER 🇮🇱 Best Book memories
those children could be lucky
sad is this they say e. g. he is from california but he born and lived in poland they said nothing about where they from
Why would anybody be afraid of new attacks on Jews in the US?
You really think no bad thing can happen in America?
very off topic but the one reporter guy looks like brian cranston
What a strong woman. I think if I was her, I’d never go back
My great grandma is Jewish she was part of the holocaust and is still alive but is Slowly passing away she had 10 brothers some sisters they all died from starvation or has awful Sickness some died in the gas chamber
I couldn’t imagine the pain
1 million ? offcialy its more then 4 million….
I hope everyone here is Vaxxinated or we will send you to the CAMPS
vaccine companies owned by the tribe
I would never go back there! Maybe they feld at home! (People s strange)
Precursor to the mark of the beast and world wide persecution coming soon unfortunately I believe
My deepest love is for those who could survive, and obviously, for those who could not.
The pain is so real I felt it through this video I could never imagine going through anything like this 😢 Hugs and condolences and prayers to those survivors and deceased
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😥😥😥😥😥🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Why dint they fight back
They did in 1944
They did many times, they just ended up desd
My history teacher said yesterday that he took a picture of 24th barrack but she didnt knew that her great grandfather was used to “live” there.. And then when she Showed the picture to him.. He said “i was there” and then he died..
“if there is a god, he will have to beg my forgiveness” – a phrase carved into a concentration camp cell by a Jewish prisoner.
The fact that humans went through with this is so disgusting it is unbelievable. I can’t imagine what they must have went through.
I wonder if I would have a similar feeling not the same of course but similar in the fact of revisiting a place where terrors horrors and abuses happened to me if I was able to depart from my current place of torture which is my hometown and if I survived for years and then visited it later if it would feel like a similar feeling not to the same extent but like-kind feelings of revisiting a place where you were traumatized and abused
FINALLY someone that says it was the nazis that killed them not the Germans!!! Im German and I always felt it was my fault that these poor people where killed..
semantics
Scary part was people like Hitler and Stahlin were voted in. People were actually stupid enough to elect their executioners!
They made Lamp shades, wallets, book bindings, etc out of human flesh.
What she did is true bravery. She walks in the ashes and memories of our people. That is true strength. To walk thru trauma, not just for herself, but for her family who swiftly we’re murdered, and a lot of others she saw just disappear. This lady is a hero…. NEVER FORGET!!!!!!!
We’re all touched by what happened in Auschwitz, but don’t forget this exact same thing is happening in all corners of the world, think of the Uyghurs being killed in China or Russians attempting to wipe out Ukrainians
And some people say that students shouldn’t learn about this
May God bless everyone. We need to pay attention. My fear is that this will happen to both Christians and Jewish people. Our rights are being stripped away little by little.
I found it funny during my visit there that there were buildings with chimneys that were connected to nothing, there were just props built after the war. Made me wonder what else in that place was fake?
Nothing, 90% is authentic, the Chimneys were readded in a restoration project.
Yes. Added by Soviets after the fact. The same with the holes in the rooftops. History is written by the winners.
@Signed Up For Doc Only are you a denier?
Remember what Mel Gibson said and THINK ABOUT IT …
_____ are responsible for all the world wars!
They’re wearing Bosch (german product) headsets, how ironic
So.. how much did the haula cost?
#neveragain
I started crying when she started talking to her mom ☹️
Wow. This is amazing. I would love to talk to a survivor and also visit the camp. It’s so sad and makes me almost have visions even though I never went there. It’s like I picture things obviously because I’ve seen videos and photos from that time. Also I seen/have the movie “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.”
If you get a chance visit Yad Vashem in Jerusalem. Hits way harder than Auschwitz
THIS is why when Trump says he is a nationalist, people are furious. This could 100% happen again.
Not the same thing, not the same man, not the same ideas
R.i.p to all ✌️
humanity will not let this happen again i believe there’s too much good ppl now
the cure for cancer could of been murdered there so many lost minds that could of helped the world
i met a survivor i don’t remember his name it was back in 5th grade but his story broke my whole class but it’s amazing how he could stand up there and tell his story instead of being afraid of talking about it. they all are brave for going back.
the huge paycheck helps im sure
And we let china do the same to chinese muslims…
_”Where did the pools go? And the theatres?”_
Low key Auschwitz has a kind of upstate New York air bnb vibe though
My grandmother and great-grand father were murdered in Auschwitz.
My poor mother was traumatised all her life.RIP dear souls🌈🙏
Thank you, you tube for showing this footage on your platform!!🙏👏👏🏻
Respect for these peaple
If you get a chance, read the story of Leonard Siegfried of Bethlehem, PA. I knew this man personally, and he was an incredible soul.
Why are Negroes, Natives, and Hispanic told to get over slavery, oppression, and genocide of over 260,000,000 of us yet we are reminded everyday of Hitlers Holocaust of 6,000,000 of his own European people?
Well Hispanics actually killed most of the natives so idk what you are talking about, ever heard of conquistadors?
@Xclipse Gaming Nice way to divert but they are SpanISH similar to BritISH Europeans they are all white Caucasians. Btw Hispanics are natives. Hispanic is a byword given by colonizers same as African American.
When the Nazis could see the writing was realistically on the wall (end of 1944) they didn’t slow down the killing, they sped it up!
Why?
“But we felt the air like burning like bones, you know?” that is horrific..
Guess who’s back (back) guess who’s back (back) guess who’s back guess who’s back guess who’s back guess who’s back
I wish I could hug everyone of them 🥺
Pure evil 😈 was indeed alive 💀.
Beautiful video about sad story.
Numbers just keep going up, it’s 600,000
Can you even imagine the horrible memories that washed over them upon arrival? They likely made some recollections when this opportunity became a reality but I am willing to bet they were not expecting to feel the things they felt 75 years later.
“10,000 people a day killed”. Can you imagine? Indiscriminate killing of completely innocent human beings in front of other imprisoned innocent human beings? In my 6 year military service I feel as though I witnessed my fair share of death. These survivors experienced more death in mere minutes over years than I experienced in all my 6 years.
they murdered about 6 million
But if you WILLINGLY get on the train and you REFUSE to fight and you COWER to the wolves…well, you can’t act shocked.
They where forced into that train
@Blake Buckley101 Nonsense.
@69adrummer nonsense?
It look like a nice place
🤦🏼♀😔
Staring at tha, I dint have a bond , thought. Or reaction to thus. Please stop with pity. -Mexy(:

so true today,
So very heartbreaking. I visited in 2019. Poland is a beautiful place, but I can honestly say that Auschwitz traumatised me for a long time. The saddest, most eerie place. I felt so many different emotions at the same time. Rest in peace to all of the tortured souls. This must never happen again 💔
I love how they make a point to attack nationalism. Like there is something wrong with loving your country!
It’s ok to live your country but not to this extent
And yet some people dare to deny the horrors of the Holocaust. I visited Auschwitz almost a decade ago, an experience I will never forget.
Wooden doors with windows can withhold gas and 200 people
I visited Treblinka Camp yesterday 23rd September it was Sad. Unfortunately these killing still happening today. We lived in a Sad world.
At some elite schools in Sydney Australia there is a recently publicised outbreak of anti Semitic bullying. Nazi salutes being filmed and posted. A student shoved in a locker and then the vents sprayed with deodorant to simulate gassing. Horrible holocaust jokes posted on social media. To be honest I don’t think showing this story would have any effect on their behaviour. Everyone knows that these schools teach superiority. They teach elitism. After Saturday rugby matches they brag about raping and slaughtering the opposition. And remember: it’s these little SS officers that run our government. Our legal system. Our banks.
Is this what you Trump supporters want in the USA?
Sad
You cannot stay silent ever
I’ve been to auschwitz, it is devastating, humbling, and horrible. Everyone should go visit it as to remember and have the knowledge so it never happens again to any people group.
Why Jews women wear scarf and hijab…now a days if Muslim women wear then it is considered extremists and a taboo
i read so much about this. yes it was a forced labor camp.
but can you prove the gas chambers were actually used here to murder people? because i think they were used for removing lice. america’s border patrol used to take our illegal immigrants and run them through powder delicing agents then let them cross the border to work.
This was so heartbreaking. Horrific sad past.
The woman who smiled when she mentioned her grandchildren and great grandchildren made me tear up. I was already emotional, but to find joy in your descendants in light of the horrors you witnessed to try to destroy that chance is very special.
I can’t believe 10,000 were killed a day, the size the camp was why was 15,000 to 17,000 not achieved ?.
Make’s me cry … I’m speaking out against evil that’s is starting here in the USA
How could a group of people murder another group that did nothing wrong? It upsets me and I feel sick to my stomach. 😢😭
Still hard to believe this occurred not all that long ago. Sadly, it’s probably happening somewhere in this world at this moment. Especially in countries under dictatorship and authoritarian rule. The gentleman who said once evil shows itself, we can’t be indifferent to it. We must stand up to it, is so true. All of humanity is at risk.
I’m doing this for a NHD project and its going to be terrifying. And I’m scared to do it. But I’m proud in a sense. I’m Jewish. And I’m ready to spread awareness on this horrible tragedy. 🙁 ♡
I feel so bad for the victims.
And I wish I could go see the auschwitz- it is so sad.
We should have nuked Berlin
Reading about it is something, but hearing about this from actual survivors is absolutely heartbreaking. 🙏
. hay gente neonazi.kkk. racistas, que dicen que esto no paso’….quieren revivir el reich III<<<. . there are neo-Nazi people.kkk. racists, who say that this did not happen'.... they want to revive Reich III
Omg such sadness & horrors
Fun fact- India is considered to be the most Jewish friendly country since there has been no large scale violence against jews ever since they came to India
None of us leaving today can even imagine the fear that they have through and the suffering and the hate and the prejudice for just being Jewish. At the very end where that man cried after all these years. It doesn’t surprise me because that kind of suffering and losing your family becomes a part of your DNA.
Here is a sad reminder:
In the next 10 years, the last World War II veteran will pass away.
And what they did to liberate Europe of the Third Reich will pass to the pages of history.
We, those who have come after, must remember our history, so the following shall always ring true:
Never again. Never forget.
I befriended a lady that had the identification tattoo numbers on her wrist she said every day they lived in fear.
Was one of the worst times in world history for me. May God bless all these saviors in abundance.
