I know what you mean his demeanour is very sketchy but in my experience CZ has pulled off being above board in the crypto space and really come thru over the years in making sure everything is good in crypto. They say past performance doesn’t necessarily mean future results but I always put in a good word for CZ until i see otherwise.
Giving your money to a centralized exchange for an I owe you than calling that Bitcoin is Fraud. Bitcoin is not centralized and not regulated. Regulating an I owe you is something different. Learn reality.

Liquidity issues or insolvency caused by a run might be two reasons?
Tether was fluctuating like crazy leading up to the crash. I would imagine it dropping to .90 and then up to 1.20 made some people a very nice passive gain that day if they were on top of it. But the fact that it can do that (I’m guessing due to ridiculous volume) makes me antsy and I’ve used Tether plenty of times to either transfer funds or hold them. I lost the rest of my money in crypto. Luckily it was only about $500… still hurts when you are living paycheck to paycheck but could have been worse. I sold a bunch way before the crash. I would be super pissed if I hadn’t. Take from this what you will.
