Chinese President Xi Jinping will be in Russia this week for a state visit after he was invited by President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin said on Friday.
The two-day trip beginning on Monday comes as Beijing offers to broker peace in Ukraine, an effort that has been met with scepticism in the West given China’s diplomatic support for Russia.

If washington thinks of sanctioning Beijing like they did Moscow it will be devastating for the dollar.
Yes in the short term they’ll get China’s financial assets that are in western banks but in the long run this will be a huge blow to the dollar. China is the top trading partner of most countries in the world and those countries would have to conduct trade with China in alternative currencies, this will cause collapse in demand for the U$.
The US and Europe combined don’t have the manufacturing base that China has so they can’t replace Chinese goods for the world.
Sanctions against China is also bad news for ukraine, because one of the unintended effects of sanctions is that they free up the country that’s sanctioned meaning that China just like Iran will be free to supply Russia with whatever they want and since China is the leader in drone technology and has a much bigger manufacturing base, which can out produce the west in weaponry.
