Ukraine and Russsia are accusing each other of blowing up a major dam , sparking warnings of severe flooding in Russian controlled territory downstream in the region of Kherson.
Water levels have risen by 10 metres in the area.
The dam is on the Dnipro river in the Moscow-held region of Kherson.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is holding an emergency cabinet meeting.
People are being evacuated from surrounding villages.
Ukraine’s military blames Russia for the damage.
But Moscow-appointed officials say the dam was hit by Ukrainian shelling.

Ukraine couldn’t plant demolitions on the dam, and their military has nothing in the way of missiles that can take out a large dam. Nothing that could even dent it.

Ukraine couldn’t plant demolitions on the dam since they retook the right side of the river, since russia is on the left side of the dam watching, and the Ukrainian military has nothing in the way of missiles that can take out a large dam. Nothing that could even dent it. That’s why the Kerch bridge is still there. Besides, a single explosive could never take out that whole stretch of concrete and steel that’s gone. Only thousands of pounds of carefully planted explosives could cause a clean demolition job like that. Therefore it had to be the russians – unless you believe the Ukrainians somehow mined the bridge well before the invasion and then hid the mining job from the russians who later planted explosives right where the Ukrainians would have.
That footage you saw was from the last Ukraine attack with himars four months ago there is no new footage because the dam collapsed because of the previous damage to the control gates there is satellite footage of the dam overflowing for three days before the total failure
