The head of Wagner Group has released his first statement since the group’s armed mutiny on June 24th.
In an 11 minute audio recording, Prigozhin explained that Wagner was bound to be disbanded.
He said Belarusian president Aleksander Lukashenko offered a solution for the group to continue working legally in Russia.
He also compared his march to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – saying troops of Wagner’s level could have completed Russia’s special military operation in 24 hours.

Supposedly the Wagner forces will be integrated into the MoD, but how exactly will Russia accomplish this? They demonstrated that they could be insurrectionists. If they remain separated from the main Russian forces they may lack enough oversight to be trusted, and if they are directly integrated, they risk encouraging insurrectionist ideas within the Russian army.
Part of what began the Bolshevik revolution was that Communists and other political saboteurs were sent to the front as punishment, yet ultimately they slowly sowed the seeds of revolution within the Russian ranks. Russia needs Wagner. It can’t afford to dismiss tens of thousands of effective and battle-hardened troops, but they now clearly represent a substantial threat to Russia’s own stability, with or without Prigozhin.

@aluisious A lot has happened since then, 2 Minsk agreements were broken by both sides. Besides when the Kosovo declared to be independent the west recognised it as a state and then helped it fight Serbia. Now Donbas has declared independence from Ukraine, Russia has recognised it as a state and is helping it against Ukraine. So Russia followed the same pattern as the US , wich created a precedence. I agree it is illegal, or at least should be to do that, but all the people complaining about Russia now did they complain about the US?

2. replace Wagner forces with the Chechen forces. The Chechen forces are more salvaged and blood-thirstier than the Wagner forces.

Chechnya doesn’t want to be part of Russia. Putin bombed them into submission if they get stronger they would be more trouble than Wagner.
What about the Wagner forces in Africa causing bloodshed and mayhem as Russia tries colonizing the Sahel region.
