Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has warned Poland against any aggression towards his neighbour and ally, Belarus.
NATO member Poland denies it has any territorial ambitions towards Belarus and has summoned Moscow’s ambassador in protest.

Stalin’s “gift” is probably more aptly described as when Soviet troops waited outside Warsaw while the Home Army of Warsaw rose up against the Nazis, at Moscow’s behest. The Russians waited so that both sides would weaken each other. Stalin’s gift to the Poles was his betrayal.

Warsaw better pays attention to what Putin was telling, they are walking on thin ice and can easily become the next Ukraine.
Poland’s military is a lot less powerful than Ukraine and their fate in a conflict with Russia would not be any brighter than Ukraine’s future.
The west is massively losing in Ukraine and are now looking for other proxi’s they can get involved in fighting the Russian military.
In case Poland get’s involved directly, they can not call on article 5 of NATO, because they are the aggressor and it’s highly likely that despite whatever the US promised them, no other NATO member would come to their aid and will drop them as the proverbial hot potato.
Putin stated that Russia would not intervene if Ukraine would cede part of it’s territory to Poland and that they would consider this as an internal affair between the two nations.
Lukashenko however said that western Ukraine under Polish rule would pose a significant danger to Belarus’s national security and that they would react if such an event was to pass.
Putin also stated that an attack by Poland on Belarus would be considered as an attack on Russia and that they would react with ALL means at their disposal.
This clearly includes the nuclear option and since there are already nuclear weapons transferred to Belarus, it doesn’t take to much to imagine how this could turn out.
What Putin was saying with his reference to Poland’s territorial history was actually: the lord give’t and the lord can take it away.
