More than 50 rockets have been launched from the direction of Gaza towards the city of Netivot, some 15km (9.3 miles) from the border.
The Times of Israel and other Israeli media report it may be the largest rocket salvo in weeks. Footage posted on social media shows a building in Netivot severely damaged in the aftermath of the attack.
The city’s municipality confirmed in a statement there had been rocket impacts, but reported no casualties.

I’m not sure why Hamas would continue firing missiles into the air at civilian areas that are protected by the Iron dome. Since the walls are apparently not enough to make the Israeli population feel safe and only the complete destruction of Gaza appears to only satisfy that aim.
