I find the good news segment hurtful given the current state of affairs. This year, I had my food stamps stolen and the government did not fully reimburse me for my losses, leaving me with a hit of over $530. A revised spending bill will leave those who have their benefits stolen high and dry: no reimbursement at all. My disability benefits have not kept pace with inflation, making it even harder to get by. Hatred for trans people is rampant, environmental issues are being ignored, and a clown is about to take over as president. While there may be good news for some, there is none for me.
I understand that some may view my concerns as “crying” about things, but these are real issues that affect my daily life and well-being. It’s important to acknowledge and address these challenges rather than dismiss them.
