0 Iran state TV has aired the test launch of a satellite-carrying rocket, which it said was able to reach a height of 500 kilometres (310 miles). A defence ministry spokesman said Zuljanah will be able to place operational satellites into orbit as US President Joe Biden considers reviving the 2015 nuclear accord. Iran says its satellite and nuclear programmes are for civilian purposes but western powers say the satellite could be used as a military weapon.
