MBS’s visit to Turkey aims to put to rest murder of Khashoggi

The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) is due to visit Turkey for the first time since the 2018 murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul. Relations between the two countries, already frayed before the killing, were broken after the journalist’s assassination. Khashoggi’s killing at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul four years ago grabbed headlines worldwide, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan saying that the “highest levels” of the Saudi government ordered the killing. Turkey central bank forecasts 23 percent inflation rate
