Look, Bangladesh government, or at least the people of Bangladesh very well know who can be their right strategic partner(s) in the current socio-economic and geo-political reality! And definitely India is not that partner as India itself lacks behind Bangladesh in most of the human, social and economic development indexes. And an inherently caste-ridden, communal, intolerant, divisive society like india is not the right choice for india itself to progress, let alone for others to build a partnership with! All the big talk about India’s “line of credit” is totally good for nothing. And whatever little money has so far been used, it was all for to further improve the existing infrastructure to better facilitate the Transits (roads, rail, water, ports, etc.) for india to establish better, shorter connection, communication with its seven north-eastern states. So, basically Bangladesh is building transit facilities on her soil for india using 3rd class indian materials and resources as a requirement, and then Bangladesh has to pay off that loan with interest! And that kind of stupidity Bangladesh government (not the concerned people) have so far done just to stay in power. Not sure if by now they have come to their senses yet. Dirt poor india (both financially and mentally) is not capable of doing any good to anyone other than bigmouthing but yet will try to push away others who want to do real development projects as a strategic development partner!
The shameless ungrateful india even wholeheartedly supported Myanmar junta who committed genocide to the Rohingya people by ditching Bangladesh! And yet, 2.3 million Bangladeshis tourists visited india and spent $billions in 2018 alone! Bangladesh is the 4th/5th largest remittance source for India and the biggest trading partner in South Asia! But inherently, an ungrateful and thankless people and society India is! A strong government in Bangladesh could easily show india its place and teach them how to respect and be grateful and thankful! Because, India cannot afford a peaceful, low maintenance eastern borders turn in to a western or northern borders! They just need a huge kick in their rear to come back to senses from their worthless stupid illusion!!! Because india is not what the indians think india is!

I don’t understand why India is upset about this diplomatic deals?!? Is Bangladesh not an independent country free to choose it’s best business partners. Plus China can help import technologies, investment and education that can help Bangladesh win giant strides. Bangladesh, even to this day, maintained a steady “business” deals with India. India itself is very poor with undeveloped infrastructure. Relying on India to boost our own infrastructure is futile. We should look toward countries who already achieved those.
