Protesters in Nigeria are demanding a police unit accused of abuses be disbanded, saying the Special Anti-Robbery Squad are guilty of torture and killings.
Anger against the group has spread across the country, sparking several days of demonstrations.
In the capital, more than 100 protesters have camped out in front of the country’s police headquarters to make their demands known.

#Nigeria #EndSARS #SarsMustGo
This unprofessional attitude of Nigeria police is wrong. End SARS and reform the whole police.
The Nigerian police force is steeped in corruption head to toe. The SARS unit is the most radical in the force. They hijack cars, rob, rape, and execute and they have done so for years. We are tired. They must be disbanded
@S/C What I said probably wasn’t helpful.
I hear bad stories about police culture in Nigeria.
Is there anything that can be done to help internationally?
@Defe Aleladia at the end of the day only nigerians can fix this problem. SARS should be there to serve, not to extort
Sad
@Ben V Sars have been disbanded today
They also can’t breathe?
Considering the fact that these policemen are trained by American police, yes. Why should you live on fear of the people who are meant to protect you?
@Dalem Silas Nigerian police misconducts blame is upon US now? Yall blacks got ulterior motifs now, lmao
ジャクソンスリーマン stfu man, stop being racist. Stanford prison experiment, search it up. What weve learned is that police across the world have a bully mentality. That’s why police in the US, police in Nigeria, police in Hong Kong, police in Israel and all over the world show so many signs of brutality.
@ジャクソンスリーマン I agree with you that I am also confused why the US police are supposedly training Nigerian police, however your comments seem extremely racist. “Yall blacks got ulterior motives” / “They also can’t breathe? ” – really, making a mockery of someone’s death? That’s really how you want to present yourself. Stop projecting your digusting ideals onto others. You need to work on yourself ASAP, it’s digusting seeing someone so openly racist.
I love Prophet Muhammad (SAW) too much😘😘😘
@D Freak No he doesn’t and I love Prophet Muhammad 1000x more after reading your comment 😊
Wrong place, don’t you think?
@D Freak What facts I didn’t even make a claim 🤷♂️
All lives will die one day but why show power…..
Nigeria has a lot of oil yet the people look poor & unhappy. Where has all that oil money gone?
Royal Dutch company.
Coughs in corruption*
the western oil companies take most of the profit…the little available is gobbled up by the corrupt political elites of the country
SARS unit sound like death squads.
sars is also a deadly virus
It is plainly a death squad.
nigerian einsatzegruppen
That’s exactly what they are.
May prophet Muhammad kill all protesters
Seems like the right place for BLM unlike America and England
I think America and England have many problems regarding racism, especially sysmetic racism. So yes, BLM movement deserve to be there, as well as Nigeria and other countries struggling with racism
hi my names CATRINA • the so called ‘systemic racism’ is racist towards straight white conservative Christians men. The only privilege we see here is BLACK, Brown, Muslim, lgbtq, disabled and feminist privilege
@@Next up thousands of police shootings? 😂😂
@hi my names CATRINA • in Nigeria we just call it tribalism.
It can’t be racism when everyone is basically the same.
Omg racist police lol because they are poor blacks lol
I thought this was some special unit they created during this Covid outbreak that were keeping people in line or whatever. I didn’t realize until almost near the end that it Means special anti-robbery squad.
haha cant blame it on racism now
You actually can. It is a direct consequence of colonialism. If Nigeria wasn’t formed by selfish European interests, you would have people funding and policing their own people. In Africa today, you have states without nations administrating over nations without states. These are reasons why money is stolen from huge populations and police are uncaring
@Seismic Vertigo How is that racism though? Selfish european interests is not inherently racism. Colonialism isn’t inherently racism. You can blame Colonialism and rightfully so. But this does not look like a race issue but as a result of European exploitation.
Those are one of the 12 tribes of isreal out there our ppl that’s scattered throughout the world. They are not africans. ..AFRICANS cops know the difference . Its still racist
@Swahi well nobody added race in the matter ,you just sound guilt ridden
Police ,goverment, rich people ,education system it so much wrong ,but don’t go on feelings decide who is going take over and how you would reach that is slowly and safely changing one by one and replace it with whatever you guys
Finally got rid of SARS!
Where is LBM when we need them …. Where are the african statues being destroyed all over the world …
Comparing apples with bananas. You must be tired pedro
Those are one of the 12 tribes of isreal out there our ppl that’s scattered throughout the world. They are not africans. ..AFRICANS cops know the difference
Leila Anderson are American Blacks the only blacks in the world? You sound like the idiot here. Do you think other countries will protest BLM if they deemed it only an American problem?
@Faruq Olatoyosi oh true … Black dont have any …
@Pedro Motta of course we don’t because there are all in museums scattered all over Europe. Just shut it. You have no right to comment senselessly on issues you have no ounce of clue about.
Well it is still better than America. Im America you can dress well, look well to do, and still be targeted. Here if you dress well then you are not targeted. They are not targetting people because they are Black.
SARS, what a name for the virus within police force
soundsmith paranormal idubbbz ballislife penguinz0 chainsmokers
If Nigerians can protest and demonstrate against SARS, then why not on other serious matters and issues as well? Demonstrate against bribery and corruption, distribution of choice vehicles to senators, construction of railway line to Niger Republic etc. When will Nigerians realise that power is in their hands!!!???
We had a unit much like this in South Africa and they have no place in Africa. They get tempted to overuse their power and open to corruption and manslaughter
Iyabalaya iSARS abezwa laba
@Sicelo phungula 😂 khuzeka
Thank God, sars is banned
This is a easy one. If Nigerian citizens also had the right to bear arms to protect themselves like Americans from attackers and rogue governments TRUST me your police force and probably your government would have been well behaved a long time ago.
Your government and pubblic officials are ROGUES, CRIMINALS and pillage the POOR and INNOCENT hence I believe NIGERIAN CITIZENS should FIGHT for and have the right to bear GUNS. Your governments and police would never BULLY you again after
Nigeria needs a revolution
If memory serves me correct I swear this was in scenarios the 2010 document from the rockafellas
Banned three times before ~ it will just make a comeback 😂😂😂
Lol Illuminati Card Game
Help my people end SARS NOW ✊🏿BLM
We in America worrying about the EUROPEAN police white police brutality against us brown/black people & they in Nigeria worrying about brown/black police brutality killing them
They speak very good English. They should move to America or Europe
Or they can stay home and develop their country take pride in their homes.
@boy14395 Exactly and not get racially profiled or looked down on.
End Nigeria now
letsss go sarssss kill those idiots
America, Mexico, Brasil, Nigeria everywhere in the world police are corrupt. When you are in a position of power and authority AND are given a weapon all at once you are bound to be on a path of becoming dangerous. It’s a given. Look up the Stanford Prison Experiment if you don’t believe me.
